Description

好ましくは、バックシートは、約0.012mm(0.5ミル)乃至約0.015mm(2.0ミル)の厚さを有するポリエチレンフィルムである。
Field of Invention
The present invention relates to a disposable sanitary napkin. A sanitary napkin as used herein refers to an absorbent product that is usually worn on the outside of a woman's body during menstruation and is configured to receive menstrual fluids and other cages. Disposable sanitary napkins are discarded after use and soiling without being washed or reused.
Background of the Invention
In its simplest form, a disposable sanitary napkin is placed between a permeable body-contacting member (referred to as a topsheet or overlap) and an impermeable protective barrier (referred to as a backsheet). Having an absorbent member (referred to as an absorbent core). Of course, the absorptive member is adapted to receive and store drainage fluids and other cages during menstruation. The body-contacting member comes into contact with the body surface with a somewhat soft and dry feel while allowing liquid to freely pass through to the absorbent member. The protective barrier prevents the discharged mess fluid or other excrement from contaminating the user's underwear by the absorbent element.
In addition to the three-dimensional functional member described above, the disposable sanitary napkin includes means for supporting the device adjacent to the user's crotch region that can effectively perform its intended function when the user moves. Yes. Usually, sanitary napkins are provided with an adhesive attachment device that secures the device to the crotch region inside the user's underwear.
Although the sanitary napkins described above perform their intended functions, each conventional configuration is one of the body's ability to absorb liquids, protect the user's undergarment, soil and / or provide physical comfort to the user. Or you are bothered by some more flaws.
Currently, there are generally at least two classes of disposable sanitary napkins. First, one class is intended as a medium that absorbs large mentor fluids. These sanitary napkins provide relatively large absorption performance. Absorption performance is usually achieved by providing a relatively thick and large absorbent member on the sanitary napkin. Although these have a comparatively big absorption performance, the magnitude | size of an absorber member produces a certain amount of discomfort at the time of wear.
A second class of sanitary napkins is intended for light or small mess diversion and is commonly referred to as a panty liner or panty shield. This class of sanitary napkins is thinner than the first class as a whole, and is somewhat more flexible and overall more comfortable. However, the second class of sanitary napkins usually lacks the absorption performance of the first sanitary napkins.
One attempt to provide the aforementioned two classes of advantages of a sanitary napkin to a composite sanitary napkin is shown in US Pat. No. 4,425,130 granted to Desmaras on January 10, 1984. The desmalous sanitary napkin comprises a first mens pad and a panty protector joined together at corresponding ends in such a way that the two components are free to move relative to each other along the entire common length. Have. The first mens pad is adapted to absorb a large amount of bodily fluid drained by the user, and the panty protector is protected from soiling the user's underwear. In use, the relative degree of freedom of movement between the first mens pad and the panty protector acts to maintain the first mens pad adjacent to the user's crotch area while the panty protector remains associated with the user's underwear. To do.
The relative degree of freedom of movement between the first mens pad and the panty protector acts to maintain the first mens pad in the vicinity of the user's crotch region, if the first mens pad is the side edge of the panty protector. When moving sideways beyond, there is a lack of stability and an opportunity to smear the user's underwear.
Furthermore, the relative degree of freedom of movement between the first mens pad and the panty protector is insufficient to supplement the body fluid as it exits the wearer's vaginal opening. The first mens pad is preferably narrow enough to be at least partially in the outer genitals. Additionally, the first mens pad is wider than the distance between the labia, but a portion of the first mens pad can be at least partially present in the outer woman's genitals so that the outside of the woman It exhibits lateral compression or adaptability with relatively little force exerted by the soft skin of the genitals. By being flexible with a relatively small force, the first absorbent member remains adaptable during use. Furthermore, the first mens pad preferably has an elastic recovery force so that the pad can conform to the body when the pad and body boundary undergo a shape change.
The first mens pad is manufactured more narrowly to fit the body, so the panty protector is sufficient to provide a stable attachment to the wearer's undergarment, sufficiently covering the undergarment and protecting it from dirt It is preferable to remain wide.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The present invention relates to a body-compatible composite sanitary napkin that absorbs fluid from the body that prevents the user's underwear from becoming dirty and provides physical comfort to the user. As used herein, the term “sanitary napkin” is worn by a woman adjacent to the perineal area and absorbs various excretions excreted from the body (eg, blood, menstrual fluid, urine) Used for products that contain. The term “composite sanitary napkin” as used herein refers to separate members joined together to form a unitary structure. An interlabial device that is partially in the wearer's vestibule and partially on the outside thereof is within the scope of the present invention. The term “vulva” as used herein refers to the female genitals visible from the outside and is restricted to the large labia, labia, clitoris and vestibule.

Preferably, the secondary absorbent member has a thickness of less than about 3.0 millimeters, more preferably less than about 2.6 millimeters, more preferably less than about 2.2 millimeters, and most preferably less than about 2.0 millimeters.
The primary absorbent member of the present invention is preferably relatively flexible. It is preferred to keep the primary absorbent member relatively flexible so that it can easily fit into the labia groove during use. A primary absorbent member having a width or diameter or dimension of about 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) can easily fit within at least some of the labia grooves. The primary absorbent members are described above as having a width or diameter of 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) or greater, but will fit into the labia if they are sufficiently adaptable. However, it is not necessary for the entire primary absorbent member to fit within the labia, and it is preferable that a portion of the primary absorbent member fits within the labia. The flexibility of the primary absorbent member or the various regions is determined by the following test.
Computer controlled tensile testing and EME model 599A, commercially available from ENE, Newbury, Ohio are preferred, but other tensile testing can be used. The tensile tester is made of aluminum and has a pair of circular contact surfaces with a diameter of 4.0 centimeters. The primary absorbent member is disposed on the lower contact surface, and one of the side edges faces the lower side, and the opposite side surface faces the upper contact surface. The device is zeroed. The upper contact surface drops to a distance of 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) between the two opposing contact surfaces. By matching the distance to 3/8 inch (0.95 cm), the force acting on the primary absorbent member is determined.
The primary absorbent member has a 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) conformity of less than about 1.0 psi. Preferably, the primary absorbent member has a conformity of less than about 0.5 psi, more preferably about 0.25 psi, and most preferably about 0.1 psi and 3/8 inch (0.95 cm).
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the secondary absorbent member has a rectangular shape. Other suitable shapes include, but are not limited to, ellipses, hourglasses, dog bones, and asymmetric shapes.
Further, the secondary
In a preferred embodiment, the flap comprises a topsheet, an absorbent member and a backsheet. Furthermore, the flap is integral with the thin layer of the secondary absorbent member. In short, the top sheet, the absorbent member and the back sheet extend laterally outward to form a flap. However, the flap is not integral with the secondary absorbent member, and may be another member fixed to the secondary absorbent member. Further, the flaps can be formed from one substrate or other thin layer shape. However, the flap preferably has a liquid impervious backsheet to prevent excrement reaching the flap from soiling the edge of the wearer's panties.
Further, the flap is provided with an absorbent member up to a point at least beyond the edge of the wearer's panty. Theoretically, only a relatively small amount of mens fluid reaches the flap, so it is desirable that a relatively small amount of absorbent material be in the flap. However, at least some absorbent material is preferred in order to prevent excrement reaching the flaps from flowing into unprotected areas. The absorbent material is a tissue or an extension of the

Preferably, the secondary absorbent member comprises a member that is extensible in the lateral direction when the composite sanitary napkin is worn. Preferably, the composite sanitary napkin can be elongated laterally between about 15% and about 40% in an unstretched state.
The topsheet for both the primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member is elastic, as shown in US patent application Ser. No. 07 / 936,195 filed Aug. 25, 1992 in the name of Kuro et al. Dimensional, fluid permeable polymer web, which is incorporated herein by reference.
A particularly preferred stretchable backsheet is a stretch adhesive film known as Formula # 198-388 manufactured by Wauwatosa's foundry adhesive company in Wisconsin.
A sanitary napkin having an extensible member is shown in US patent applications 07 / 915,133 and 07 / 915,284, both filed July 23, 1992 under the name Osborne et al. (February 4, 1993). WO 93/01785 and 93/01786). The contents of the aforementioned publications are incorporated herein by reference.
Referring to FIG. 1, the secondary
Although it is a cross section in a non-stressed state, it is preferable that the primary absorbent member has a rectangular cross section. The secondary absorbent member is about 5 to 15 cm wide, more preferably about 5 to 10 cm wide, and most preferably about 5 to 8 cm wide. The thickness of the secondary
Since the primary absorbent member performs a function different from that of the secondary absorbent member, the properties and characteristics of the materials forming the primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member are obvious from each other. The primary function of the primary absorbent member is to absorb and contain body fluids. Furthermore, the primary absorbent member is preferably sized and shaped so that it fits the labia. Accordingly, the width and / or diameter of the primary absorbent member is such that it is at least partially on the labia. That is, it is preferable that a part of the primary absorbent member fits into the labia during use. The exposed female genitals, including the labia, are soft body tissues, so it is important that they are flexible and relatively soft so that they are non-irritating and / or comfortable to the user It is. In contrast, the main function of the secondary absorbent member is to prevent the user's underwear from being soiled by the absorbent fluid that is released from the primary absorbent member and suddenly bypasses the primary absorbent member. Since the secondary absorbent member performs a different function than that of the primary absorbent member, its dimensions and characteristics are different from those of the primary absorbent member.
Preferably, the width of the secondary absorbent member is at least 1.5 times the width of the primary absorbent member. More preferably, the width of the secondary absorbent member is twice the width of the primary absorbent member. Most preferably, the width of the secondary absorbent member is in the range of about 3 to 8 times the width of the primary absorbent member.
Preferably, the secondary absorbent member is approximately the same length as the primary absorbent member while the composite sanitary napkin is not stressed. However, the secondary absorbent member works effectively although it is slightly longer than the primary absorbent member.
Referring to FIG. 1, the primary
To form the composite sanitary napkin of the present invention, the primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member are joined together by a
The exact characteristics of the coupling device are not important as long as the selected coupling device serves to couple the primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member to the composite sanitary napkin of the present invention, the primary absorbent member and the secondary absorbent member. Has a strength that does not separate during use. Bonding devices such as adhesive mounting devices with known high temperature melt and pressure sensitive adhesives are very satisfactory. Thermal welding, ultrasonic welding, or a combination of both heating and ultrasonic welding can be used where the properties of the components selected to produce the composite sanitary napkin member are acceptable.
The primary absorbent member is secured to the secondary absorbent member by a coupling device such that the longest unattached distance between adjacent fastening points is less than 75% of the common length. As an additional example, the primary absorbent member is secured to the secondary absorbent member by a coupling device such that the longest unattached distance between adjacent fixation points is less than 50% of the common length. . Further, the primary absorbent member is secured to the secondary absorbent member by a coupling device such that the longest unattached distance between adjacent fastening points is less than 25% of the common length. Further, the primary absorbent member is secured to the secondary distribution layer absorbent member by a coupling device extending along the entire common length.

Preferably, the primary absorbent member has a “static resistance” sufficient to improve performance. As used herein, the term “static resistance” refers to the force applied to the primary absorbent member in the central region so that the side edges of the primary absorbent member do not extend beyond the side edges of the secondary absorbent member. The resistance given by the primary absorbent member. In short, the static resistance indicates the relative movement of the primary absorbent member compared to the secondary absorbent member. It is preferable that the side edge of the primary absorbent member does not extend beyond the side edge of the secondary absorbent member even under a relatively large force. By maintaining the side edges of the primary absorbent member within the side edges of the secondary absorbent member, the liquid is not from the primary absorbent member to the secondary absorbent member, eg, the user's skin or underwear, under relatively high forces. The chance of diverting to the surface or being discharged is significantly reduced.
The necessary equipment for determining the static resistance is a scale and a resistance member. A suitable scale is the Sartorius universal balance. The resistance member is a cylindrical rod having a diameter of 1 inch (2.54 cm). The resistance member has a length of about 6 inches (15,24 cm). The resistance member can be made from any suitable material that can withstand forces during the static resistance procedure. Suitable materials include, but are not limited to steel, aluminum, plastic and wood.
The procedure of the static resistance test is as follows. Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, the
