Abstract
An intelligence jigsaw puzzle comprises a base, a top cover, jigsaw blocks, a filling block, and an operation tool. When it is in use, the filling block is first taken away to permit the jigsaw blocks to be shifted across the buckling pillars. By forming a 1-2 mm gap between every two adjacent equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks, the hexagonal jigsaw puzzle, which is composed of equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks, eliminates the typical thought of being not able to rotate the equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks. Besides, three apices of each jigsaw block are changed to have an obtuse arc shape so there is provided the required space for rotating the jigsaw blocks one by one. Moreover, the unique thumbtack-shaped buckling pillars smooth the rotation of the jigsaw blocks and also protect them from falling. After all jigsaw blocks are settled, the filling block is inserted into the empty space.
Description
- The present invention relates to an intelligence jigsaw puzzle, and more particularly to an intelligence jigsaw puzzle that combine the concepts of jigsaw and magic block with one another for providing a brand-new toy for the consumer who asks for variety in playing method.
- A variety of commercial intelligence games are provided in the market. One kind of intelligence game is the plane toy including jigsaw puzzle, geometric chess, etc. The other kind of intelligence game includes three-D block, three-D jigsaw puzzle, etc. There are a lot of toys related with the intelligence game. Accordingly, the present inventors invent an intelligence toy having a brand-new playing method different from that of the above-mentioned games.
- It is a main object of the present invention to provide an intelligence jigsaw puzzle in which the hexagonal jigsaw puzzle, which is composed of equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks, eliminates the typical thought of being not able to rotate the equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks by forming a 1-2 mm gap between every two adjacent equiangular triangular jigsaw blocks. Accordingly, there is provided required space for rotating the jigsaw blocks.
- It is another object of the present invention to treat the intelligence jigsaw puzzle as a decoration. When the intelligence jigsaw puzzle is treated as a decoration, the pattern constituted by the gathered blocks can be observed through the transparent or semi-transparent top cover. The top cover is principally applied to centralize these jigsaw blocks after the consumer fulfills the intelligence jigsaw puzzle. For the purposes of succinctness and conciseness, the edge of the top cover is inserted into the gaps between the base and the jigsaw blocks so the constituted pattern is free of gap.
- It is a further object of the present invention to provide unique thumbtack-shaped buckling pillars that smooth the rotation of the jigsaw blocks and protect them from falling.
- It is a still further object of the present invention to provide a top cover having pads to protect the surface of the top cover from scrape. Accordingly, when the top cover is coupled with the bottom of the base, the top cover can prevent the top cover from directly contacting the tabletop to avoid scrape.

FIG. 8 is an elevational view showing another usage of the present invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 throughFIG. 3 , the present provides an intelligence jigsaw puzzle comprising abase 1, atop cover 2, anoperation tool 5,several jigsaw blocks 3, afilling block 4. In this preferred embodiment, thebase 1 is in the form of a hexagon, and therefore eachjigsaw block 3 and thefilling block 4 are both in the form of an equiangular triangle. In addition, each one of these blocks can be in the form of an equiangular polygon such as an equiangular pentagon, an equiangular hexagon, etc. Besides, eachjigsaw block 3 further has colors, patterns, lines, etc., formed thereon. - The
base 1 is partitioned by aflat plate 11. Raisedwalls flat plate 11 for forming aholding chamber 13 and asunken chamber 15, which are located independently. A plurality ofbuckling pillars 14 are mounted on the top surface of theflat plate 11, wherein eachbuckling pillar 14 is in the form of a T shape and integrates with the top surface of theflat plate 11 as a thumbtack. Accordingly, thesejigsaw blocks 3 can be held in theholding chamber 13, which is enclosed by the raisedwall 12. In the present invention, twenty-threejigsaw blocks 3 and afilling block 4 are provided to reach a total of twenty-four equiangular triangular blocks. Abuckling bracket 151 is mounted in thesunken chamber 15 for mounting and positioning theoperation tool 5. When theoperation tool 5 is not in use, it can be held by thebuckling bracket 151. - The
jigsaw block 3 is an equiangular triangular cube having across-shaped notch 31 on its top surface and inwardbended legs 32 on its bottom surface. Thefilling block 4 is also an equiangular triangular block having anotch 41 on it bottom surface. Because thefilling block 4 is not designed for use, no notch is formed on its top surface. When it is in use, thefilling block 4 must be taken away before moving thejigsaw blocks 3. By forming a 1-2 mm gap between every two adjacent equiangulartriangular jigsaw blocks 3, the hexagonal jigsaw puzzle, which is composed of equiangulartriangular jigsaw blocks 3, eliminates the typical thought of being not able to move and rotate the equiangulartriangular jigsaw blocks 3. Besides, three apices of eachjigsaw block 3 are changed to have an obtuse arc shape so there is provided the required space for rotating thejigsaw blocks 3 one by one. Moreover, the unique thumbtack-shaped buckling pillars 14 smooth the rotation of the equiangulartriangular jigsaw blocks 3 and also protect them from falling. - As shown in
FIG. 3 andFIG. 6 , thenotches 31 formed on the top surfaces of thejigsaw blocks 3 are designed to be inserted by apolyhedral head 51 of theoperation tool 5, and therefore thejigsaw blocks 3 can be moved by theoperation tool 5. - Referring further to
FIG. 2 ,FIG. 4 ,FIG. 5 , andFIG. 7 , thejigsaw blocks 3 are movable, but they cannot be taken away. During the operation or the assembly of thejigsaw blocks 3, thefilling block 4 must be first taken away to permit thejigsaw blocks 3 to be shifted across the T-shaped buckling pillars 14. By removal of thefilling block 4, the spared space enables thejigsaw blocks 3 to be randomly shifted to form any pattern, geometric figure, line, etc. - Thereafter, referring to
FIG. 8 , the transparent or semi-transparenttop cover 2 is mounted on thebase 1. When thebase 1 is covered with thetop cover 2, thesejigsaw blocks 3 and thefilling block 4 can be gathered together and positioned. Moreover, the intelligence jigsaw puzzle can be treated as a decoration. Thetop cover 2 is principally applied to centralize thesejigsaw blocks 3 after the consumer fulfills the intelligence jigsaw puzzle. For the purposes of succinctness and conciseness, the edge of thetop cover 2 is inserted into the gaps between thebase 1 and thejigsaw blocks 3 so the constituted pattern is free of gaps. - When it is in use, the
top cover 2 can be mounted between the periphery of thesunken chamber 15 and the raisedwall 16, andseveral pads 22 mounted on thetop cover 2 can protect the surface of thetop cover 2 from scrape. - In this preferred embodiment, the shape of the jigsaw blocks is exemplified by equiangular triangle. Nevertheless, all equiangular polygonal shapes such as equiangular pentagon, equiangular hexagon, etc., and all equivalent modifications thereof do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention.
- While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been set forth for the purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiment of the invention as well as other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments, which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (8)
1. An intelligence jigsaw puzzle, comprising:
a base partitioned by a flat plate;
raised walls mounted respectively over and under the periphery edge of the flat plate for forming a holding chamber and a sunken chamber, the holding chamber and the sunken chamber being located independently;
a plurality of buckling pillars mounted on a top surface of the flat plate, each buckling pillar being integrated with the top surface of the flat plate as a thumbtack;
a plurality of jigsaw blocks located in the holding chamber, each jigsaw block comprising three obtuse arc-shaped apices; a cross-shaped notch formed on a top surface of the jigsaw block; and inward bended legs on a bottom surface of the jigsaw block;
a top cover on which a plurality of pads are mounted;
a filling block having a notch on a bottom surface; and
an operation tool having a polyhedral head in which the filling block must be first taken away when the intelligence jigsaw puzzle is in use, and the three obtuse arc-shaped apices of the jigsaw block enable the operation tool to move the jigsaw blocks one by one for forming any pattern, geometric figure, or line.
2. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein the jigsaw blocks are in the form of an equiangular triangle.
3. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein the filling block is in the form of an equiangular triangle.
4. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein the jigsaw blocks further comprise colors patterns, and lines formed thereon.
5. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein a 1-2 mm gap is formed between every two adjacent jigsaw blocks.
6. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein the top cover is transparent.
7. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , wherein the top cover is semi-transparent.
8. The intelligence jigsaw puzzle of claim 1 , further comprising a buckling bracket mounted in the sunken chamber for mounting and positioning the operation tool.
