  • All players are considered critics and guess at the subject of the sculpture being created by the one sculptor who has control of the sculpting pad.
  • One dice is awarded to both the sculptor and the critic for each correct answer, and players move their game pieces accordingly.
  • a player's game piece lands on any of the center shaded areas and remains there until his next turn as sculptor, he must sculpt the highest difficulty subject on the card drawn. If guessed correctly he and the correct critic both get to throw three dice to determine the distance their game pieces should travel along the board and the control of the sculpting pad moves to the player on his left. If not guessed correctly, and the players game piece remains in the same location, on his next turn the sculptor has the option to try the highest difficulty level on the card or return to normal play. However, he must make this decision before he draws a card.
  • a series of game winning scores can be kept. The player's score is determined by the quadrant his game piece is in when someone reaches the Professional Artist block. Scores are indicated in each quadrant (2, 4, 6, 8 respectively) with 10 points going to the Professional Artist. All players must start the new game in the Starting Space. For continued play an ending score should be predetermined to best decide the WINNER who will hold the PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS STATUS, until played again.

Sculpting media is defined as sculpting clay, molding material, sculpting dough, or play dough.

Description

  • “Sculpt It” is a Board Game for 3 players and up, for ages ranging from 6-adult.
  • GAME COMPONENTS
      • Game Board (Divided into 4-colored coded quadrants, center colored coded area, and a track that weaves through each to a finish line)
      • Sculpting Media (i.e. Molding Clay or Dough, 4-6 ounce containers)
      • Sculpting Mat (Flexible Plastic, game logo in center)
      • Sculpting Tools (Plastic knife, fork, straw, spoon, etc)
      • 8 Game pieces (Plastic simulated sculpted clay forms)
      • 90 second timer
      • Game Cards (500, with three levels of difficulty)
      • 3 dice
    THE OBJECT OF THE GAME
  • To identify through molded forms the subject printed on game cards, thus winning dice that players throw to advance around the game board to the finish. Words and letters may not be molded or imprinted in the molding clay to reveal clues. Using the molded forms to act out is not prohibited but is strongly encouraged. Precision of answers is up to the players and should be decided before the beginning of play. Precision may be desired for the difficult level.
  • DIRECTIONS
  • Each Player throws the dice; the one with the highest total starts as the first “Sculptor” and has control of the sculpting pad. Winning ties must throw again for a tiebreaker.
  • The sculptor draws a card from the Deck. The card has three levels of difficulty. The sculptor must first start sculpting the lowest level of difficulty as indicated.
  • The sculptor will have 90 seconds to mold the clay into clues or the shape of the subject on the card drawn. The person(s) trying to guess what is being molded, whom we'll refer to as the “Critic(s)”, will try to guess the subject on the card within the 90 seconds allowed. If guessed correctly, the sculptor acknowledges this, and continues sculpting the next subject of higher difficulty on the card with the remaining time. If all three subjects are guessed correctly before time expires, another card may be drawn to continue play until time expires.   • TEAM PLAY
  • Ideally is played with an even number of players. Teams can consist of two players and up. Team players must alternate seats around the game board. One player is the sculptor; the other(s) teammates are critics. All critics on a team may guess at the subject of the sculpture. If guessed correctly, the team moves their single game piece the number shown on the dice thrown.
  • INDIVIDUAL PLAY
  • All players are considered critics and guess at the subject of the sculpture being created by the one sculptor who has control of the sculpting pad. One dice is awarded to both the sculptor and the critic for each correct answer, and players move their game pieces accordingly.
  • SPECIAL PLAY
  • If a player's game piece lands on any of the center shaded areas and remains there until his next turn as sculptor, he must sculpt the highest difficulty subject on the card drawn. If guessed correctly he and the correct critic both get to throw three dice to determine the distance their game pieces should travel along the board and the control of the sculpting pad moves to the player on his left. If not guessed correctly, and the players game piece remains in the same location, on his next turn the sculptor has the option to try the highest difficulty level on the card or return to normal play. However, he must make this decision before he draws a card.
  • WINNER
  • The first person to reach the end of the track and land in the Professional Artists space will be the Winner. Exact roll of the dice is not necessary.
  • CONTINUED PLAY
  • To continue, a series of game winning scores can be kept. The player's score is determined by the quadrant his game piece is in when someone reaches the Professional Artist block. Scores are indicated in each quadrant (2, 4, 6, 8 respectively) with 10 points going to the Professional Artist. All players must start the new game in the Starting Space. Claims (1)

1. This invention “Sculpt It!” is the first board game invention using a sculpting media in an organized competitive game fashion where players shape molding material into clues to help other players guess the subject matter of game cards, to win dice, to advance around a game board to win.
