Abstract
The enclosed created concept of a single sheet of material, primarily corrugated cardboard and or regular flat cardboard stock scored to desired sizes allows the bottom of said carton to be a seamless section as well the four sides. This accomplished by the unique scored two end sections and the end cutouts as shown in the artwork. Also noted: End sections must correspond to the same proportions as the sides and bottom sizes. Thus making the manufacture of the single sheet material a less step process, as well the assembly of the carton by the end user is minimized!
Description
- This Invention constitutes a new departure from the former manufacture of corrugated and or flat cardboard stock cartons, due to the specific scored lines,—allows for the carton to be folded up easily in one complete seamless unit, without the need to secure the sides,—also the bottom remains seamless.
- As specified in the description and the following five pages of my drawings: Showing the specific diagonal scored end sections on the flat sheet stock, are what constitute how the carton is allowed to take the natural form when the four diagonal scored ends are pressed in they form four inner triangles allowing the carton sides to take the natural straight up position, thus forming the enclosed unit completely and seamlessly,—thus secured without the use of tapes or staples.

FIG. 1 .-Shows Completed Carton -
FIG. 2 .-Shows—single sheet of material with specific diagonal scored lines at end corners—also the end cuts. -
FIG. 3 .-Shows carton being prepaired to fold in the four specific scored lines—into four triangles by lifting the ends and the two side panels. -
FIG. 4 .-Shows—the single sheet being folded into the end state of being a carton without open seams also a solid base. -
FIG. 5 .-6. 7.-Shows—the end section of folded up carton completed by being secured naturally by pressing the end flaps down to the base.—end flaps also have an extra folded edge—to prevent loss of content once top flaps are secured. -
FIG. 8 .-Shows completed carton—awaiting to be filled with contents as top flaps to be secured with tape. - The process of this invention constitutes a complete departure from traditional and the current process of carton and box manufacturing. Whereas the blank stock required at least one side to be secured by tape or staples so as to construct the carton as a whole unit.—My concept: Of a “Seamless One Single Sheet Fold Up Carton” introduces a simpler and cost effective method,—by the implementation of specific diagonal score lines at the end corners as shown in my “
FIG. 2 .-3.-4. Drawings,—when pressed into triangles form the carton naturally without open seams as well as the bottom. In the process of manufacture,—the flat stock is cut at each end in accordance to the drawing and desired sizes and the diagonal score lines impressed into the material as shown. Note:—End sections must correspond to the same proportions as the sides and bottom sizes.
Claims (1)
1. The elimination of the need to secure the sides of corugated or flat cardboard cartons—by virtue of a seamless system. This accomplished by the specific four diagonal scored lines impressed onto the end corner sections of the flat material stock—once the end corner section scored lines are pressed in—allows the container to be formed without open seams and too including the carton bottom.
