Abstract
A leg support for insertion by a selected object provided with an insertion post such as a garden lamp to be planted into the ground includes a primary leg, a deck, an bracket and one or a plurality of secondary leg; the primary leg extending beneath the deck, the bracket disposed offset on the deck; the secondary leg extending beneath the bracket; screwed holes being respectively provided on both opposite side of the bracket; the leg support being planted into the ground to receive insertion of an insertion post from the selected object; and the post being locked into screwed holes with fasteners to secure the selected object.
Description
- (a) Field of the Invention
- The present invention is related to a leg support, and more particularly, to one that secure a garden lamp, a garden umbrella, a pole, or any other selected object provided with an insertion post.
- (b) Description of the Prior Art
- As illustrated in
FIG. 8 , a leg support of the prior art is provided to receive insertion a standing-alone garden lamp, solar street lamp, or any other object adapted with apost 10 such as a garden umbrella or a pole. The leg support is comprised of only abracket 20 and asingle leg 30. The leg support is buried in the ground with thebracket 20 exposed out of the ground and locked to thepost 10. After a certain period of time, thepost 10 gets easily inclined to compromise the view of the landscape or in serious case, thepost 10 is collapsed or hurting pedestrian and/or vehicles nearby as a result of the weight, such as that of a lighting fixture, suspended from the post or due to that people tend to lean on the post. - The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a leg support that effectively prevents the post from being inclined or collapsed.
- To achieve the purpose, the post of a selected object, e.g., a garden lamp comprised of a primary leg, a deck, a bracket, and one or a plurality of secondary leg. The secondary leg extends from where beneath the bracket to plant the support into the ground to firmly secure the post.
- Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a leg support that is disposed with two screwed holes respectively on two opposite sides of the bracket. One fastener penetrates through a screwed hole to lock up the post and another fastener locks into the other screwed hole to hold against the post. In case that the post is inclined for cause whatsoever, it can be restored to its original vertical status by adjusting the fastener holding against the post
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention inserted with a post. -
FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the present invention inserted with a post. -
FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing an application of the present invention with a garden lamp. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing that the present invention is placed up side down. -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view showing a preferred embodiment of the present invention provided with two secondary legs. -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing another preferred embodiment of the present invention provided with three secondary legs. -
FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing another preferred embodiment yet of the present invention provided with four secondary legs. -
FIG. 8 is a schematic view showing the prior art. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a leg support of the present invention is essentially comprised of aprimary leg 1, adeck 2, abracket 3, and one or a plurality ofsecondary legs 4. Wherein, theprimary leg 1 extends downward a tip in a shape of an awl and the tip is adapted with multiple reinforcement ribs. - The
deck 2 located to the top end of theprimary leg 1 laterally extends in a given size, and aprotrusion 21 is provided on the deck at where in relation with the top of theprimary leg 1 to facilitate the hammering of the leg support into the ground. - The
bracket 3 disposed offset above thedeck 2 receives the insertion of apost 51 from a selectedobject 5, i.e., a garden lamp as illustrated inFIG. 3 ; and on two opposite walls of thebracket 3 are respectively disposed with a screwedholes - As illustrated in
FIGS. 4 through 7 , thesecondary leg 4 extends below thebracket 3 on thedeck 2. Eachsecondary leg 4 is also provided with multiple reinforcement ribs and has an awl shaped tip. Unless provided with absolute necessity that thesecondary leg 4 and theprimary leg 1 are of the same length, the length and size of eachsecondary leg 4 are smaller than that of theprimary leg 1. - All the
primary leg 1, thedeck 2, thebracket 3 and thesecondary leg 4 are integrated in one piece or may be assembled by locking or welding means. The leg support is planted into the ground for thepost 51 from theselected object 5 to inserted into thebracket 3, and then twofasteners holes bracket 3 to firmly secure thepost 51 as illustrated inFIG. 3 . - It should be appreciated that the
selected object 5 includes a solar street lamp, a garden umbrella, a flagpole or any other object adapted with a pole. - One screwed
hole 31 is penetrated by thefastener 61 to lock up thepost 51 of theselected object 5 so to secure thepost 51 to thebracket 3. Meanwhile, another screwedhole 32 is also locked up but not penetrated by anotherfastener 62 thus to hold against thepost 51. If thepost 51 is inclined for cause whatsoever, by adjusting thefastener 62, thepost 51 is restored to its original vertical status. - Now referring to
FIGS. 4 through 7 , anopening 33 is disposed on thedeck 2 at the bottom of thebracket 3 to serve a drain to prevent accumulation of water. - To further improve the structure of the leg support, multiple reinforcement ribs are provided to the inner wall of the
deck 2 or thebracket 3, or those screwedholes - The prevent invention provides an improved construction of a leg support. However, it is to be noted that that the preferred embodiments disclosed in the specification and the accompanying drawings are not limiting the present invention; and that any construction, installation, or characteristics that is same or similar to that of the present invention should fall within the scope of the purposes and claims of the present invention.
