Abstract
A folding collapsible exercising apparatus includes a baseboard having an extension bar at one end, a -shaped upright frame bar pivoted to one end of the baseboard, two back-sticks adjustably coupled between the -shaped upright frame bar and the extension bar to support the -shaped upright frame bar on the baseboard in vertical or a tilted position, a swivel handlebar pivoted to the -shaped upright frame bar, and two elastic cord members selectively coupled to eyelets at the
Description
- The present invention relates to an exercising apparatus and, more particularly, to a folding exercising apparatus practical for training ballet, gymnastics, rhythmical dance, and any of a variety of exercises.
- Following improvement of living standards, people do more care about the health and would spend time to exercise the body. Various exercising apparatus are commercially available for training different parts of the body. However, conventional exercising apparatus are not suitable for training ballet, gymnastics, or rhythmical dance. Further, conventional exercising apparatus are commonly of fixed type, requiring much storage space during delivery.
- The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is therefore one object of the present invention to provide an exercising apparatus, which is folding collapsible.
- According to one aspect of the present invention, the folding collapsible exercising apparatus comprises a baseboard, the baseboard having a first end, a second end, and an extension bar extended from the first end; a -shaped upright frame bar, the -shaped upright frame bar having two distal ends respectively pivoted to the first end of the baseboard; two back-sticks adapted to support the -shaped upright frame bar on the baseboard, the back-sticks each having a first end pivoted to the -shaped upright frame bar and a second end detachably locked to the extension bar; a swivel handlebar pivotally coupled to the -shaped upright frame bar; and two operating members for selectively coupling to the -shaped upright frame bar and the swivel handlebar for operation by the user.
- According to another aspect of the present invention, the second end of each back-stick has a longitudinal series of mounting holes for fastening to the extension bar selectively.
-
FIG. 1 is an elevational view of a folding collapsible exercising apparatus according to the present invention. -
FIG. 2 shows the folding collapsible exercising apparatus collapsed. -
FIG. 3 shows one application example of the present invention. -
FIG. 4 shows another application example of the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is another elevational view of the present invention. -
FIG. 6 shows still another application example of the present invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , a folding collapsible exercising apparatus in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising abaseboard 1, a substantially -shapedupright frame bar 2, aswivel handlebar 3, two back-sticks 4, and twooperating members 21. Thebaseboard 1 has anextension bar 10 extended from one end thereof. The -shapedupright frame bar 2 has two distal ends respectively pivoted to one end of thebaseboard 1 adjacent to theextension bar 10. Theswivel handlebar 3 is pivotally coupled to the -shapedupright frame bar 2. The two back-sticks 4 each have one end pivoted to the -shapedupright frame bar 2 and the other end provided with a longitudinal series of mountingholes 40 for selectively fastened to theextension bar 10 to support the -shapedupright frame bar 2 on thebaseboard 1 in one of a series of angular positions. Further, eyelets 20 are provided at the -shapedupright frame bar 2 and theswivel handlebar 3 for the mounting of theoperating members 21. Theoperating members 21 are selectively coupled to theeyelets 20 by, for example, a respective swivel hook. Preferably, theoperating members 21 are elastic cord members respectively sleeved with aprotective sleeve 22. -
- Referring to
FIGS. 3, 4 and 6, when in use, thebaseboard 1 is placed on the floor, and then the -shapedupright frame bar 2 is turned upwards from thebaseboard 1 to the desired angle, and then the back-sticks 4 are respectively locked to theextension bar 10, and then theoperating members 21 are selectively coupled to theeyelets 20. When set, the user can operating theoperating members 21 to train the muscles of the hands and the legs. - Although the present invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
