Abstract

A necktie knot shaped article of manufacture used or preserving the life of a tie. The invention is comprised of a. an embedded hook which is used to maintain a stable positon on the tie knot. The necktie shaped article of manufacture extends the life of the necktie and preserves a person favorite neckties. It reducres the cost of attire by reducing the need for more tire due to wear and tear and als may be used as a fashion statement and to improve the general and professional appearance of the individual who wear a tie.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to a atricle of manufacturer which has all embedded hook for maintaning position and more specifically for protecting a necktie knot or a necktie The invention also preserves the life of the necktie and knot and reduce wear and tear which result in reduced cost for attire.

Under normal use a necktie would wear out due to frequent contact from a person chin movement. The knot itself wears away and results in color discongirutaion, material wear and tear, and general degradation of the necktie.

The invention can be efficiently and cost effectively manufactured with any type of material such as any type of of classes of metals (e.g. silver, copper, nickle, gold, stainless steel, thin, magnesium, etc) and platics. The invention can also be manufacturered as a plated derived from the above classes of metals and platics.

PRIOR ART

Prior to this invention, there are some design patents and inventions as described below, which are used as decorative instruments, necktie knot forming devices, tie knot units, devices for simulating knot in necktie or the like, necktie and knot articles, necktie clincher, and necktie necktie knot cover and retaining device.

However many of these inventions do not have a special embedded hook as disclosed in the present invention which is used to maintain a stable positon on the tie knot.

Many of these inventions accomplish only a limited purpose and scope. For example, a most common general purpose is to provide a decorative instruments emboddied in different forms, but without an embedded hook.

U.S. Patent. No. Des. 364,723 issued to Anthony M Cox on Dec. 5, 1995, discloses a decorative cover for a tie. This is an ornamental design for a decorative covering for a tie.

U.S. Patent No. Des. 420,201 issed to Sameer Azhar; Alexander Dokic on Feb. 8, 2002 dicloses a neckie knot cover which is an ornamental design for a necktie knot cover similar to Anthony M. Cox above.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,617,108 issued to Anthony Daniel Anzell on Nov. 11, 1952 disclosed a plastic necktie knot. The principal object of this invention is the production of a clasp or the like of the general character above indicates which should be simple in construction and which may utilized without the neccessity or folding or knotting the tie.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,714,719 issed to Charles R. Peake on Aug. 9, 1955 discloses a necktie knot protector.which is an improvement pertains to a performed shell both ornamental and utilitiarian in character and adopted to fit over the knot of a tie so as to embrace and to enclose said knot and to cover the front portion thereof.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,728,801 issed to Andrew Zele on Dec. 27, 1955 discloses a device of funnel-like shape insertable in the previously tied knot of a necktie to prevent shifting or loosening of the knot while preserving the desired simmetrically tapered appearance thereof.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,943,331 issed to John J. Toplansky on Jul. 5, 1960 discloses a neckties having seperable preshapped similulated knots or knot members and the main object of this invention is the prevention of certain new and useful improvements whereby the practical utility of the same is substantially enhanced and the wearer may at all times be assured that his necktie presents a well grooned appearance.

DEFICIENCES IN THE PRIOR TECHNOLOGIES

As previously stated, none of the foregoing inventions have an embedded hook such as the present invention under consideration which is used to maintain a stable positon on the tie knot. The ability of the embedded hook provides a useful utility to the extent that the hook itself is used for securing and maintaining a position n the tie knot.

For the most part, most of the cited inventions pertain decorative instruments. Again the necktie knot protector presented in Pat. No. 2,714,719 by Charles R. Peake on Aug. 9, 1955 does not have this special embedded hook to maintain its positon and moreover it is comprised in several parts and not in one simple piece as embodied in the present invention.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Object and Advantages

The primary object of the invention is to preserve the life of a necktie or necktie by using an embedded hook to secure the knot protector in a stable position.

Another object of the invention is to protects the wear and tear of the tie.

Another object of the invention is to provide embedded hook which is used to maintain a stable positon on the tie knot.

A further object of the invention is be used as a decorative instrument.

Yet another object of the invention is to introduce a fashion statement.

Still yet another object of the invention is flexibility in material used to manufacturer the invention.

Another object of the invention is reduces the cost of attire which result from continued and ongoing use over a neck tie knot.

Another object of the invention is a design which requires no additional attachment for its use.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following descriptions, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, wherein, by way of illustration and example, an embodiment of the present invention is disclosed.

In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention, there is disclosed a necktie knot shaped article of manufacture for protecting a tie knot. comprising: an embedded hook used to maintain a stable positon on the tie knot.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment are provided herein. It is to be understood, however, that the present invention may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but rather as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure or manner. The preferred method of making the invention is to build simple molds in the form of a tieknot shaped using metals, plastic or plastic related materials. The resulting molds will be used to produce the invention, namely the tieknot protector. [0034]
The suggested detailed steps of building and designing this mold is as follows: [0035]

Building a Metal Mold

(1) Start by using a standard necktie with a tieknot. Using the tieknot section harden this tieknot with starch or any hardening agent to prepare for forming of the mold. [0036]
(2) Take the resulting harden tieknot and encase it and elevate, in preparation for pouring plasture or other forming agent all around it. [0037]
(3) Pour the plasture (e.g plasture of paris) or other forming agent the tieknot encasement and allow to fully dry. [0038]
(4) Once the tieknot encasement has fully dried, cut the molding in half and remove the hardened tieknot material. This produces the hollow mold. [0039]
(5) Lubricate and seal the hollow mold and pour the plasture or other forming agent into the hollow area. [0040]
(6) Let the mold in the hollow area harden. [0041]
(7) Machine the harden mold to account for necktie knot protector material thickness. [0042]
(8) Affix the machine mold in a sturdy position. [0043]
(9) Place flat tie knot material as shown in FIG. 1 centered on the mold for shaping. [0044]
(10) Place hollow half of mold on flat tieknot material. [0045]
(11) Press flat tieknot material into shape of the mold. [0046]
(12) Roll embedded hook portion of the material down allowing space for hooking. [0047]
The preceding twelve steps will establish the process for making a metal mold for a tieknot protector using metals. [0048]

Plastic or Plastic Related Materials Mold

(a) Using the same machine mold as describe above in steps 6, 7, and 8, make a groove having the width of the embedded hook and the thickness of the protector at the centerline of the top surface of the mold. [0049]
(b) Drill or remove material below the groove again the tickness of the protector material used. [0050]
(c) The length or the removed material stated above is to be equal to the length of the embedded hook. [0051]
(d) Affix the machine mold in a sturdy position as referred to step [0052] 8 above.
(e) Take hollow mold and affix it above the machine mold centered. [0053]
(f) Seal the hollow mold and drill a hole in hollow mole to impregnate with liquid plastic or plastic related material. [0054]
(g) Allow plastic or plastic related material to harden. [0055]
(h) Remove hollow mold and machine mold from necktie knot protector. [0056]
(i) Plate plastic or plate related materials if desired. This produces the final necktie protector. [0057]

Claims

What I claim as my invention is:

1. A necktie knot shaped article of manufacture for protecting a tie knot. comprising:

a. an embedded hook used to maintain a stable positon when used on a tie knot whereby said embeeded hook secures the tie knot in place and,

b. said article of manufacturer is used as a new fashion statement and,

c. a protective cover of the tie knot which derived by forming a tie knot shaped.

2. A necktie knot shapped artticle of manufacture with embedded hook made of plating material which is comprised of any of the following materials:

a. any nickel plated material;

b. any gold plated materials;

c. any titanium plated material;

d. any silver plated material;

e. any magnesium plated material;

f. any thin or stainless steel material;

g. any material made of gold;

h. any material made of silver;

i. any material made of magnesium;

j. any material made of nickle.

k. any material made of titanium;

l. any plastice or plastic derivative material.
