Abstract

A small sink mounted on a stationary swivel is provided which can be used by adults and children in the hygienic practice to prevent the spread of deadly bacteria and viruses. The mini sink is easily swung in an arc to a position in front of the user, then, after use, it can be pushed back into a storage position. Part II of this invention covers public avenues where too, the normally accepted practice of washing hands after cleansing the posterior area of fecal matter and urine and redressing was thought to assure and meet personal sanitary requirements. But sterilizing hand inserts and the miniscrub set new standards for personal hygiene at home and abroad.

Description

    RELATED APPLICATIONS
  • The present invention is being described in lieu of the inventor's belief that hter are no prviously filed, nor currently any co-pending applications anywhere in the world. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0002]
  • This present invention relates generally to hygenes and, more exactly, to a mini-hand washing device mounted on a swivel that swings easily around to a position directly in front of a toilet. [0003]
  • 2. Description of the Related Art [0004]
  • The simple act of washing the hands has for so long been misplaced. It serves its purpose daily, but at very critical moment, we lose touch with the dynamics of this normal act. Using a toilet to relieve ourselves is a vital necessity. We relieve ourselves, then attend the age old act taught to us as children to clean ourselves after deficating. Next, we stand up, pull our clothes up, fix our clothing, glasses, tie, watch and rub the palms of both hands over the surface of our clothing to remove and lint, or wrinkles. But what we have done in all actuality is spread bacteria and maybe viruses over ourselves. Then, we reenter our work areas in the food industry, health care in homes and hospital, or in hospices and wonder where the staff infections come from that sicken and kill some 90,000 people yearly in hospitals alone. There is no need to search for anything patented like this for such a device has not been invented before this one. Subsequently, a need for greater security of health and life demands mandatory placement of The Miniscrub I and II. [0005]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Therefore, the pivotal objective of this invention is to place the emphasis where it is needed in the practice of hygenes. This is the factor on improvement in professional services where personal contact between employees and clients is necessary. [0006]
  • Briefly described according to one embodiment of this present invention, a small sink is swiveled around on a mount set beside the water tank of the toilet. [0007]
  • The hands are washed before touching anything immediately after cleansing subsequent to urination and/or defication. There is a need for this invention in homes, food service industries and hospitals and serves the same purpose for adults and children. The hight of the sink may be altered to acommodate physical requirements. The curved pipe provides aesthetic tatse and may even be set at a 90° angle if so preferred, however, the curved design may prove satisfying. Below the water pipe is a flexible tube set for draining, but it too may be made from copper. This invention can be enlarged, or reduced to fit any bathroom size. After using this invention, it is easily and safely pushed away on its swivel. [0008]
  • This invention is especially valuable in teaching children its use. It is equipped with the standard spigots. It can even be used easily by disabled persons. [0009]
  • Part II of the Miniscrub is set with two boxes installed on both sides of a urinal and serves the same purpose as Miniscrub I, to sterilize the hands after urinating and before touching clothing. Miniscrub II is basically for public places. [0010]
  • Insurance rates, hospital expenses and loss of loved ones are just a few benefits of realizing the practical need for the Miniscrub, for all of the above mentioned actions will be reduced dramatically. [0011]
  • Miniscrub I and II will alter history.[0012]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The benefits and advantages are highlited as the features of this present invention become better understood with reference to the detailed description and claims taken conjunctively with the accompanying drawings, which hold like elements that are identified with like symbols, therefore: [0013]
  • FIG. 1 is a front elevational view of miniscrub I according to preferred embodiment of the present invention; [0014]
  • FIG. 2 is top plan view thereof; [0015]
  • FIG. 3 is front elevational view of miniscrub part II—hand inserts, thereof; [0016]
  • FIG. 4 is front elevational view of left-hand insert thereof; and [0017]
  • FIG. 5 is cut away elevational view thereof.[0018]
  • DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The best mode for carrying out this invention is presented in view of its preferred embodiments, herein depicted within the figures. [0019]
  • 1. Detailed Description of the Figures
  • Referring now to FIG. 1-2, a [0020] small sink 10 is shown, according to the present invention, shown herein as a small sink affixed to the end of a 40″ long 1¼″ wide pipe 12 that meets an elbow 14 joining a 34″ long pipe 16 mounted on a swivel 18 set in the length of the vertical pipe 20 which is 34″ in length. The drain pipe 22 is 28″, in length and is attached to the sink 10 descending at a 45 angle to connect to the bottom of the vertical pipe 20 also acting as a drain. The drain pipe 22 should be of a flexible material to accommodate the swinging arc of the mini-sink 10. Plastic towel holders 24 may be attached to the flexible drain pipe 22 to affix paper towels. As shown in FIG. 2, the appreciating value of this invention's simple application meets one of life's requirements for longevity.
  • Referring now to FIG. 3 of this invention, we view a facsimile of a urinal [0021] 26 flanked by twin hand inserts 28. FIG. 4 presents a magnified view of this invention's unique feature which is its sterilizing spray nozzles 30 which are activated by the wrists pressing up against the stainless steel lever 32. Its that simple.
  • FIG. 5 in this present invention, displays a cut away view facing right towards the extreme left spray nozzle [0022] 30(a) which is connected to a ⅜″ wide copper pipe 36 with a stainless steel support 34. The ⅜″ wide copper pipe 36 attaches to a 0.5 inch copper water pipe 38 all of which is contained in the stainless steel housing 28 10×10×10″ with the inside width from left to right measuring 9{fraction (15/16)}″, with the inside measurements from back to front being 9.5″.
  • The [0023] lever mechanism 32 and front end of the ⅜th″ wide copper water pipe 36 can be altered to accommodate a sensor to activate jet nozzles.
  • 2. Operation of the Preferred Embodiment
  • In full operation, the present invention is used in conjunction with conventional sinks. [0024]
  • To use the present invention, the miniscrub sink [0025] 40 is simply pulled in an arc till it is before the user. The normal physical acts of urinating and/or defecating are followed by the normal cleansing, after which we transfer fecal matter, mucous and various forms of bacteria and viruses to waist bands, neckties, watches, bracelets, cuffs, belt buckles, combs, hair, etc. If working in some profession demanding personal service and contact between employees and clients, the percentages of staff infections alone increase astronomically/exponentially. However, the miniscrub sink will drastically reduce this danger in the food industry where thousands of people innocently fall victim to others who are equally innocent in many cases because they are unaware of the inherent danger lurking in what has always been an acceptable hygienic practice of washing the hands after cleansing the anal area with either hand, then redressing and spreading deadly bacteria everywhere. This present invention will cut the 90,000 deaths yearly to a low percentage if it is used in the proper spirit. The Centers for Disease Control, in Atlanta, Ga. would hold this invention up and it could some day become mandatory to install this invention in all places of business such as hospitals, restaurants and hospices.
