  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the vibration and displacement-proof air compressor of the present invention is illustrated. The vibration and displacement-proof air compressor includes an [0020] air compressor 1 or 1 a and at least one elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a.
  • The [0021] air compressor 1 is identical to the prior art air compressor. An electromotive air inflation device is installed in the air compressor 1. An external of the air compressor 1 is installed with a pressure indicator 11 or 11 a or an illuminator 12 a, and other devices for air inflation. The type of the air compressor 1 is not confined in the present invention, it only needs that the air compressor 1 is suitable to be installed in a car. The elastic leg pad 2 or 2 s is made of rubber material. The shape of the elastic leg pad 2 is not confined, such as rectangular shapes, oblong shapes, round shapes, elliptical shapes or other regular or irregular shapes). The elastic leg pad 2 may have a solid structure or a hollow structure. However, the upper portion 21 or 21 a thereof is firmly secured to a bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. The way for fixing is not confined in the present invention by for example locking, embedding or gluing. The elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a is secured to a bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1 at a predetermined position (such the embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 5). If necessary, the predetermined position at the bottom plate of the air compressor 1 is added with prior art auxiliary support leg 14 (see FIG. 6). The auxiliary support leg 14 may be made of elastic material. The elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a is formed as a fulcrum to have a preferred balance effect.
  • Above said at least one [0022] elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a is installed in the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. When actuating the air compressor 1, the elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a will absorb the vibration from the air compressor 1 to fix the air compressor 1 in position. Thereby, the air compressor 1 will not displace. The auxiliary support leg 14 serves to enhance the balance as the air compressor 1 stands. Thereby, the air compressor 1 will not tilt.
  • With reference to FIGS. 7 and 8, a hollow [0023] elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a, and the bottom plate 13 of the auxiliary support leg 14 are assembled. The upper portion 21 or 21 a of the elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a are installed with respectively buckling groove 211 or 211 a. The bottom plate of the air compressor 1 is formed with corresponding embedding holes 131 so that the elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a can be embedded into the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. Moreover, a lower portion 22 or 22 a of the elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a has a shape which is not confined. As shown in the drawings, the lower portion 22 or 22 a has a plurality of rings so as to enhance the vibration absorption ability of the elastic leg pad 2 or 2 a.
  • Referring to FIG. 9, an assembled form of the [0024] elastic leg pad 2 a and the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1 is shown. The upper portion 21 a of the elastic leg pad 2 is installed with an engaging piece 212 a. The bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1 is formed with respective embedding holes 132. Thereby, the elastic leg pad 2 a can be embedded into and firmly secured to the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1.
  • With reference to FIG. 10, an way for engaging the [0025] elastic leg pad 2 a and the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1 is illustrated. In that, a screw element 14 is used to lock the elastic leg pad 2 a to the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1.
  • Likewise, in the present invention, the [0026] elastic leg pad 2 of the bottom plate 13 of an air compressor may be replaced by a metal spring 3 or 3 a (see FIGS. 11 and 12). The metal spring 3 or 3 a may have the tapered for,m shown in FIG. 11 or a straight spring with each circle having the same diameter, or the other form with each circle having a diameter which is not confined. However, one end of the metal spring 3 or 3 a is attached to a corresponding embedding hole 132 of the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. Thereby, it not only has a preferred vibration absorption effect and the assembled work can be done easily with a lower cost.
  • The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims. [0027]
