Abstract
An air compressor 1 has a bottom plate (13) with at least one elastic leg pad 2. An upper portion of the elastic leg pad is firmly secured to the bottom plate, such that the elastic leg pad absorbs the vibration of the compressor so that no displacement occurs. The elastic leg pad may be rubber or a metal spring.
Description
VI BRAT1 ON.ND D IS PLACE TIE NT-PROOF AIR
COMPRESSOR
The present invention relates to vibration-proof devices t'or an air compressor. and particularly to a vibration and displacement-proof air compressor. wherein the bottom plate ot' the air compressor has at least one elastic leg pad made ol'rtbber or a metal spring for preventing the air compressor t'ron d i s p I a c e to e n t.
hen actuating an air compressor, the air compressor v\ ill 10 vibrate greatly due to the operation of internal components so that the whole machine will vibrate. Thereby, the use of the air compressor is not convenient. Especially. when the air compressor is placed upon the rear cover of a car engine or other higher place. As the air compressor actuates, it is easy to fall lo down and thus is destroyed.
Accordinlv. it would be desirable to be able to provide: a vibration and displacement-proof air compressor, vherein the bottom plate ol'the air compressor is installed with at least one elastic leg pad for absorbing vibration of the elastic leg 20 pad as the air compressor is actuated so as to achieve the object of avoiding the displacement of the air compressor; a vibration and displacement-proof air compressor, wherein the the elastic leg pad is made of rubber or metal spring, so as to lower the 2> cost; a
vibration and displacement-proof air compressor. wherein the elastic leg pad is assembled to the bottom plate of the air compressor at a predetermined position., and 5 vibration and displacement-proof air compressor. wherein the bottom plate ot the air compressor has at least one auxiliary support leg so that the elastic leg pad has a preferred balance e ftect.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a 10 vibration and displacement-proof air compressor, an air compressor. A bottom plate of the air compressor is installed with at least one elastic leg pad. An upper portion of the elastic leg pad is firmly secured to the bottom plate of the air compressor so that when actuating the air compressor, the elastic leg pad absorbs the 15 vibration of the air compressor so that no displacement occurs.
In the accompanying drawings: Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention. Fig.9 is an exploded perspective view of another embodiment of the present invention.
20 Fig.3 to Fig.5 show various embodiment in that the elastic leg pad of the present invention is installed to the bottom plate of the air compressor.
Fig. 6 is a schematic view showing that the bottom plate of the air compressor of the present invention is installed with at least US one auxiliary support leg.
Fig. 7 is an assembled cross sectional view showing that the hollow elastic leg pad is embedded into the bottom plate of the air
compressor. ' ' Fig. is another assembled cross sectional view showing that the hollow elastic leg pad is embedded into the bottom plate ot'the air compressor.

were the elastic leg pad is assembled to the bottom plate ot'the air compressor. Fig. 10 is an assembled cross sectional view showing the elastic leg pad is assembled to the bottom plate of the air 10 compressor in the present invention.
Fig. 11 is an assembled cross sectional view showing the a metal spring is used as a elastic leg pad ot'the present invention.
Fig. 12 is an assembled cross sectional v few showing that a metal spring of another form is used as an elastic leg pad.
1: Referring to Figs. I and 2. the vibration and displacement-proof air compressor of the present invention is illustrated. The vibration and displacement-proof air compressor includes an air compressor I or la and at least one elastic leg pad 2 or 2a.
20 The air compressor I is identical to the prior art air
compressor. An electromotive air inflation device is installed in the air compressor 1. An external of the air compressor I is installed with a pressure indicator 11 or I I a or an illuminator 1 2a.
and other devices for air inflation. The type of the air compressor 25 1 is not cont'ined in the present invention. it only needs that the air compressor I is suitable to be installed in a car.
The elastic leg pad 2 or As is made of robber material. The
shape of the elastic leg pad ? is not confined. such as rectangular shapes. oblong shapes. round shapes. elliptical shapes or other regular or irregular shapes). the elastic leg pad 2 may have a solid structure or a hollow structt ret However. the upper portion 21 or 21a thereot'is firmly secured to a bottom plate 13 ot'the air compressor 1. The way for fixing is not confined in the present invention by for example locking. embedding or gluing. The elastic leg pad ' or 2a is secured to a bottom plate 13 of the air compressor I at a predetermined position (such the embodiments 10 illustrated in Figs. 3 to a). It' necessary, the predetermined position at the bottom plate of the air compressor 1 is added with prior art auxiliary support leg 14 (see Fig. 6). The au:<iliarv
support leg 14 may be made of elastic material. 'I'he elastic leg pad ? or 2a is formed as a fulcrum to have a preferred balance 1: effect.
Above said at least one elastic leg pad ? or 2a is installed in the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. When actuating the air compressor 1, the elastic leg pad 2 or 2a will absorb the vibration from the air compressor I to fix the air compressor I in 20 position. Thereby, the air compressor I will not displace. The auxiliary support leg 14 serves to enhance the balance as the air compressor I stands. Thereby. the air compressor I will not tilt.
With reference to Figs. 7 and 8, a hollow elastic leg pad 2 or 2a and the bottom plate 13 of the auxiliary support leg 14 are ?) assembled. The upper portion 2l or 21a of the elastic leg pad ? or 2a are installed with respectively buckling groove 2 I I or 211 a.
The bottom plate of the air compressor I is formed with
corresponding embedding holes 131 so that the elastic leg pad2 or 2a can be embedded into the bottom plate 13 ot'the air compressor 1. Moreover. a lower portion 22 or 22a of the elastic leg pad 2 or 2a has a shape which is not cont'ined. As shown in the drawings.
the lower portion 22 or 22a has a plurality ot' rings so as to enhance the vibration absorption ability of the elastic leg pad 2 or 2a. Referring to Fig. 9, an assembled form of the elastic leg pad 2a and the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor I is shown. The 10 upper portion 21 a of the elastic leg pad 2 is installed with an engaging piece 212a. The bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1 is formed with respective embedding holes 132. Thereby, the elastic leg pad 2a can be embedded into and firmly secured to the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1.
1: With reference to Fig 10. an way for engaging the elastic leg pad 2a and the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor I is illustrated. In that. a screw element 14 is used to lock the elastic leg pad 2a to the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor I. Likewise. in the present invention, the elastic leg pad 2 of the 20 bottom plate 13 of an air compressor may be replaced by a metal spring 3 or 3a (see Figs. 11 and 12). The metal spring 3 or 3a may have the tapered form shown in Fig. 11 or a straight spring with each circle having the same diameter, or the other form with each circle having a diameter which is not confined. However. one end 2> of the metal spring 3 or 3a is attached to a corresponding embedding hole 132 of the bottom plate 13 of the air compressor 1. Thereby, it not only has a preferred vibration absorption effect -
and the assembled work can be done easily with a lower cost.
