Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates generally to an exercise equipment, and more particularly to a foot-holding assembly of a body inversion exercise equipment. [0001]
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The conventional body training equipments, such as multi-functional training machine, treadmill, abdominal training device, are for training muscles and enhancing cardiopulmonary capacity of user. Another type of body training equipment, the body inversion exercise equipment, was designed for helping user standing upside down. In upside down status, the gravity will draw user's spine. So, the body inversion exercise equipment also has a function of helping healthy. [0002]
  • The conventional body inversion exercise equipment has an ankle holder to secure user on the equipment. For the point of view to fixed secure user, the ankle holder presses user's ankles very hard. That make user very uncomfortable and, more particularly, it will hurt user. [0003]
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary object of the present invention is to provide a foot-holding assembly of a body inversion exercise equipment, which is designed according to ergonomics to reduce the stress of the user's ankles being pressed by the foot-holding assembly. [0004]
  • According to the object of the present invention, a foot-holding assembly of a body inversion exercise equipment having a collapsible base seat and a rotatable support assembly pivotally mounted on the base seat comprises an adjusting bar and an operating bar. The adjusting bar has an end thereof fastened to the rotatable support, a footrest disposed at distal end thereof, and a pivoting seat adjacent to said footrest. The operating bar is pivotally connected at one end thereof to said pivoting seat of said adjusting bar and has a curved segment formed from said one end of the operating bar toward another end of the operating bar with a predetermined length. According to the theory of ergonomics, it will reduce the stress of the foot-holding assembly pressing the ankles of user.[0005]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; [0006]
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, and [0007]
  • FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 are perspective views of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the inversion exercise equipment in use.[0008]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Please refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a body [0009] inversion exercise equipment 10 comprises a base seat 20, a rotatable support assembly 30 and a foot-holding assembly 40.
  • The [0010] base seat 20 has two legs 21 and 22. Two connecting plates 23 pivotally connect two legs 21 and 22 at top ends of the legs. Each of the connecting plates 23 has a recess 24 at topside thereof respectively. Two link rods 25 pivotally connect the legs 21 and 22 at midsections of the legs, such that the legs 21 and 22 can be extended and collapsed.
  • The [0011] rotatable support assembly 30 has a back table 31, two pivot axles 32 disposed at two lateral sides of the back table 31 respectively, and two handles 33 disposed at distal ends of the pivot axles 32 respectively. The pivot axles 32 are pivotally received in the recesses 24 of the base seat 20, such that the back table 31 can be turned relative to the base seat 20. The rotatable support assembly 30 further has a connect tube 34 disposed at the back side of the back table 31. The connect tube 34 has a hole 341 extending along the elongated axis and an opening 342 adjacent to the distal end thereof.
  • The foot-[0012] holding assembly 40 is disposed at the back table 31 of the rotatable support assembly 30, which has an adjusting bar 41 and an operating bar 42. The adjusting bar 41 is to insert into the hole 341 of the connect tube 34, which has a scale at front side thereof for indicating the height of user and openings 411 arranged as a line at lateral sides thereof. A pin inserts into the opening 342 of the connect tube 34 and one of the opening 411 of the adjusting bar 41 for adjusting the length of the adjusting bar 41 by user. Two supporting members 43, which are column-shaped pads in the present embodiment, are disposed the lateral sides of the adjusting bar 41 respectively. A footrest 44 is disposed at the distal end of the adjusting bar 41. A substantially U-shaped locking ring 45 pivots on the adjusting bar 41. A pivoting seat 46 is disposed at the adjusting bar 41 above the footrest 44. The operating bar 42 has one end thereof pivoting on the pivoting seat 46 of the adjusting bar 41 to be turned relative to the adjusting bar 41. The operating bar 42 has a curved segment formed from the one end thereof toward the other end thereof with a predetermined length, that is, the curved segment is starting from the one end of the operating bar 42 and stops at the midsection of the operating bar 42. Two holding members 47, which are column-shaped pads in the present embodiment, are disposed the lateral sides of the operating bar 42 respectively. The operating bar 42 further has locking blocks 421 thereon arranged as a line.
  • In use, please refer to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, user stands on the [0013] footrest 44 of the foot-holding assembly 40. Turning the operating bar 42 upwards to the position of between two legs and turning the locking ring 45 downwards to make the outer end thereof positioning between two of the locking blocks 421. Thus, the operating bar 42 is fixed secured. The supporting members 43 of the adjusting bar 41 and the holding members 47 of the operating bar 42 are against opposite sides of user's ankles respectively to secure user on the body inversion exercise equipment 10 of the present invention.
  • The curved segment of the [0014] operating bar 42 is designed in accordance with ergonomics to decrease the stress of user's ankles being pressed by the operating bar 42. Thus, it will reduce the risk of the ankles of the user being injured after a long time of use. Again, please refer to FIG. 4, the locking ring 45 can hook to different locking blocks 421 according to the dimensions of the legs of user.
