Abstract
A hermetic compressor for a refrigeration system, for vehicles. A fixing system for an electric pump motor in a housing of the compressor has a support and fixing tray (1), the tray is formed with a base in an inverted pyramid with rectangular transversal section and having a height, lateral curvilinear sides with an edge and rounded corners. The tray has an opening in the base which is smaller than an opposed opening of the tray. The largest of the sides face each other and form at the base an opposed pair of flaps (2) turned inward. Each flap has a pair of spaced apart holes (3), dimensioned in correspondence to holes (4) of a stator (5) of the motor and each is fixed by screws (7). A free border of the tray (1) forms a circling side flap (6) that is turned outward so that it may be interposed between edges of bottom (8) and upper (9) parts of the housing. An opening extends from the smaller opening almost the entire area of each of the smaller of the side walls of the tray.
Description
- This invention relates to compressor pump mounting in housings.
- As it is known the current compressor pumps motors, particularly used in refrigeration systems are generally mounted duly suspended on springs applied on inside supports of the respective housing, such springs are destined to allow to such pumps a movement in every freedom grade inside those housings, besides acting also as vibration dampener.
- As regards the universality and diffusion of this traditional mounting system of the compressor pumps, these assemblies are not ideal and recommended for application to vehicular systems, because of the irregularities of the tracks on which the vehicles ride, as well as their acceleration and deceleration, among others, cause a pump/motor to move too much inside the correspondent housing, constantly colliding against its wall, thus causing a series of problems, such as reduction of the useful life of the compressors, the generation of noise and others.
- In face of the above circumstances and to surpassing them it has been designed the perfecting in hermetic compressor for refrigeration system, as vehicular application, consisting of the object of the present invention, such improvement introducing a new fixing system of the pump electric motor set inside the compressor housing, aiming to eliminate its movement inside it, with all the derived problems.
- Most precisely, the new fixing system of the pump electric motor assembly in the compressor housing comprises a support for the same, and that has configurative details that allow the fixing to the electric motor stator of that assembly, to the compressor assembly, all this without causing any problems or hindrances to the perfect and safe operation of the refrigeration system.
- One embodiment of the invention is a hermetic compressor for a refrigeration system, for vehicles. A fixing system for an electric pump motor in a housing of the compressor has a support and fixing tray. The tray is formed with a base in an inverted pyramid with rectangular transversal section and having a height, lateral curvilinear sides with an edge and rounded corners. The tray has an opening in the base which is smaller than an opposed opening of the tray. The largest of the side walls face each other and form at the base an opposed pair of flaps turned inward. Each flap has a pair of spaced apart holes dimensioned in correspondence to holes of a stator of the motor which are fixed by screws. A free border of the tray forms a circling side flap that is turned outward so that it may be interposed between edges of bottom and upper parts of the housing. An opening extends from the smaller opening almost the entire area of each of the smaller of the side walls of the tray.
- The drawings illustrate an embodiment of the present discovery, in which:
- FIG. 1 details, in perspective, the support and fixing of the pump electric motor assembly in the compressor housing, according to the mentioned improvement, and separately taken; and
- FIGS. 2 and 2A are sectional views, with FIG. 2A being an amplified detail, of a hermetic compressor, with the pump electric motor assembly fixed by the mentioned improved support.
- According to what the above illustrated figures illustrate, improvements in hermetic compressors for refrigeration system, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprise, essentially a new fixing system of the pump
electric motor 20 to thecompressor housing 8, 9, and that comprise a support and fixing for the aforesaid assembly (FIG. 1). The fixing system includes atray 1 having a substantially inverted trunk pyramidal shape, and with a rectangular transversal section, with a height, as well as having side faces 1 a, 1 b with slightly curvilinear and rounded edge ic and corners 1 d. The tray is totally open in its smaller base or bottom, to which level the largest side faces 1 a, 1 b have an opposed pair offlaps 2 turned inside, each of which are provided at their extremities with a pair ofholes 3, dimensioned in correspondence, preferably exact correspondence, toholes 4 of stator 5 of the compressorelectric motor 20. The opposite and free edge of thetray 1 has acircling side flap 6, turned outside. - Besides, at the trunk
pyramidal tray 1 thus configured, the bottom integral opening extends for almost all the area of the smaller side walls (FIG. 1), to ease the pass of lubricating oil. - As concerns the mounting of the support and fixing of the pump electric motor assembly of the hermetic compressor, inside the respective housing, the
side holes 3 are each in exact correspondence to theholes 4 of the stator 5 of the electric motor of the unit, to which each is fixed by ascrew 7, this fixing complemented by the fit and imprisonment of theflap 6 circling the free and upper edge of thetray 1 between the bottom andupper parts 8 and 9, of the compressor housing, united between themselves by awelding circling alignment 10. - On the thus constituted assembly, the fixing system, through the
support 1 rigidly fixed byscrews 7 of the stator 5 of the electric motor as well as by the joint of the twoparts 8 and 9 comprising the unit housing, it is obtained an absolutely stable positioning for the pump electric motor inside the compressor housing, avoiding the possibility of eventual collision of the same against theinside walls 9 a, 9 b of the housing, this makes the aforesaid improved hermetic compressor highly recommended for vehicular application, even considering the usual irregularities of the tracks, as well as the acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle, and a series of other similar circumstances.
Claims (2)
1. Improvement in hermetic compressor for refrigeration system, with vehicular application, wherein it comprises essentially, a fixing system of the pump/electric motor assembly to the compressor housing, and comprising a support and fixing, as a tray (1) substantially inverted trunk-pyramidal, of rectangular transversal section, with expressive height, as well as having side lateral slightly curvilinear and rounded edges and corners, this tray totally open in its smaller base or bottom, to which level the biggest side faces make an opposite pair of flaps (2) turned inside, as well as provided, each one, of an extreme pair of holes (3), dimensioned in exact correspondence to the holes (4) of the stator (5) of the compressor electric motor, to which are fixed by the screws (7) of the same, while the opposed and free border of the same tray (1) makes a circling side flap (6), turned outside, and interposed and imprisoning between the corresponding edges of the parts, respectively bottom (8) and upper (9), composing the compressor housing, such tray (1) presenting further a bottom integral opening extended by almost the entire area of its smaller side walls.
2. A hermetic compressor for a refrigeration system, for vehicles, comprising:
a fixing system for an electric pump motor in a housing of the compressor and comprising a support and fixing tray (1), the tray being formed with a base in an inverted pyramid and rectangular transversal section and having a height, lateral curvilinear side walls with an edge and rounded corners, the tray having an opening in the base which is smaller than an opposed opening of the tray, the largest of the side walls facing each other and forming at the base an opposed pair of flaps (2) turned inward, each flap having a pair of spaced apart holes (3), dimensioned in correspondence to holes (4) of a stator (5) of the motor and each being fixed by screws (7), a free border of the tray (1) forming a circling side flap (6) that is turned outward so that it may be interposed between edges of bottom (8) and upper (9) parts of the housing, and an opening extending from the smaller opening almost the entire area of each of the smaller of the side walls.
