Abstract

A circular soft elastic band having a closed front with a piece of Velcro or snap button attached to the face of the elastic headband. This provides means for an interchangeable ornament to be recieved onto the Velcro or snap button. Furthermore, this removeable ornament allows a change in colors, styles, and types of fabrics.

Description

BACKGROUND

As long as women are having female infants, accessories for them will continue to be an on-going demand and challenge. Many mothers are pressed for time, but mothers desire to have their little girls look adorable without the frustration of styling the hair.

The present invention relates to an interchangeable Velcro or snap button ornament used to enhance the infant without having to style the hair. This specific invention is a piece of Velcro or snap button attached to the face of the elastic headband. The interchangeable ornament allows an effortless change of style, design, or color of ornament to be chosen without the hassle of taking off the entire headpiece.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is the objective of this invention to provide a versatile design that surpasses all other current designs.

Simply stated, the invention is a piece of Velcro or snap button attached to the face of the elastic headband. This headband has seperate attachments, which are called ornaments. These ornaments are to be placed directly on top of the Velcro or snap button headband to give a beautiful change in style, color, or design.

The method of this invention has several features that enhance the apparatus and make it create a low cost, stylish product. Other features, including but not limited to, are:

A. To provide a helpful and cost-effective way to accessorize hair to match clothing material;

B. To provide multiple interchangeable ornaments with one purchase to accessorize hair with;

C. To provide an effortless way to accessorize hair without having to first style the hair;

D. To provide a device that can be manufactured in many different types of fabrics, colors, and styles.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The interchangeable Velcro or snap button ornament is simple and inexpensive depending on the type of style one chooses to create for an ornament. The headband itself is a piece of soft flat elastic which is joined together at the ends and stiched up to create a circular elastic band. The invention itself is the back piece of Velcro or snap button being attached to the front (the closed side) of the circular headband. The circular band has seperate attachments called ornaments. Ornaments come in many styles, colors, and designs. The ornament is made by simply taking a piece of ribbon or lace which is folded into the shape of a bow; and the front piece of Velcro or snap button is secured by stitching it onto the backside of the bow ornament. There are many creative styles to have for ornaments. After the bow ornament is complete the bow ornament is to be placed directly onto the circular elastic headband. The bow ornament allows the headpiece to be interchanged without the hassle of removing the entire headpiece. [0010]

Claims

What is claimed:

1. An interchangeable Velcro or snap button joined to the face of a soft circular elastic headband.

2. The Velcro or snap button allows detachable ornaments to be interchanged and placed onto the face of the Velcro/or snap button headband.

3. While using a two-sided piece of Velcro, the back (rough) of the Velcro is sewn onto the soft circular elastic headband and the front (smooth) sewn onto the ornament backside. The soft elastic band with the rough backing is then joined together to the smooth side with the ornament attachment and put together creating an adhesive.

4. While using a snap button, the back (not pronged) of the snap button is sewn onto the soft circular elastic headband and the front (pronged) sewn onto the ornament backside. The soft elastic headband with the not pronged backing is then joined together to the pronged side with the ornament attachment and put together creating an adhesive.

5. The ornament is detachable and allows for a change in style, design, and color without the aggravation of removing the entire headband.

6. This invention allows several ornaments to be included with the soft circular elastic headband having several colors, styles, and designs to choose from.

7. All devices used to fasten the ornament to the headband are to be included in this invention.
