Abstract

The Nylon cover replaces the use of hair bonnets, scarves, wraps, doo-rags and other items used and believed to protect the hair while sleeping. Because it is silky smooth in texture, and acts as a barrier, it puts an end to hair-line erosion, hair breakage, loss of natural hair oils and moisture, lost of most hair styles, the deep elastic impression marks around the head, bow knot indentions on the forehead, sides and back of the head, hair roller indentions, scalp sensitivity and soreness, the increased risk of poor blood circulation and headaches. It protects fabric surfaces from soil, stains, facial makeup and hair coloring. The Nylon cover is used by placing it over an item's surface which allows free, unbound movement of the head and the hair.

BACKGRQUND OF THE INVENTION

Using a preferred, and individually tested fabric, namely Nylon, the claimed protective cover (“Nylon cover”) will provide protection to the hair when in contact with fabric and other surfaces. It also provides protection to the fabric surfaces of items such as pillows, bed pillows and pillowcases.

This particular Nylon fabric will not absorb and rob the hair of natural oils and moisture when used to cover bed pillows or pillowcases like some other materials will. The Nylon cover acts as a barrier to protect the hair, and its smooth texture eliminates any would be friction between the hair and other surfaces. It protects the bed pillows or pillowcases from soil, stains, makeup and hair colorings, by acting as a barrier shielding the fabric surface. Stains such as these can be very expensive to clean, and often the results is permanent damage to the fabric which can be very costly to replace.

The Nylon cover is: (1) silky smooth, soothing and comfortable to the touch, (2) it is light weight dry or wet, (3) it is quickly dried when wet, (4) it is very durable, (4) it keeps its shape through countless washings; and (5) it is easy to care for.

The most common fabrics used for bed linen are cottons and cotton blends. These fabrics can absorbs and rob the hair of its natural oils and moisture. This losses contributes and increases dry and brittle hair conditions as well as hair breakage.

Cotton is not silky smooth in texture, it does not eliminate friction between the hair and other surfaces. It is heavy when wet and does not dry quickly. Fabrics such as silks and satins reduce friction between the hair and other surfaces but can absorb and rob the hair of natural oils causing permanent damage to the fabric.

The Nylon cover allows free, unbound movement of the head and the hair because it is placed over the bed pillows and pillowcases. It is an excellent alternative to hair bonnets, hair scarves, hair wraps and doo-rags, all of which are worn over the hair while sleeping and because: (1) it puts an end to hair-line erosion, hair breakage, loss of natural hair oils, loss of hair moisture and most hair styles; (2) it eliminates elastic impression marks around the head caused from the use of hair bonnets; (3) it eliminates the bow knot indentions on the forehead, sides and back of the head from the use of scraves, wraps and doo-rags; (4) it eliminates the scalp indentions, sensitivity and soreness caused by the regular use of hair rollers; (5) it reduces the risk of headaches, and poor blood circulation that is often caused by wearing items to tight around the head and body; and (6) it eliminates any and all other items used to cover the hair when sleeping.

In the event of head injuries and surgeries, the Nylon cover is beneficial because it does not contribute any additional pressure and stress to these sensitive areas since it is used by placing it over the bed pillows and pillowcases.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the discovery and invention is directed at protecting human hair, pillows, bed pillows, pillowcases and all types of fabric surfaces from damage. This Nylon cover substantially obviates the problems and damage to human hair when lying against fabric surfaces. The Nylon cover is used by placing it over an item, and it is silky smooth, soothing and comfortable to the touch. It eliminating friction between any two surfaces of different texture.

When using the Nylon cover, hair-line erosion, hair breakage, loss of natural hair oils and loss of hair moisture is eliminated. Because the Nylon cover is used by placing it over an item, it allows free, unbound movement of the head and the hair. It is an excellent alternative to hair bonnets, scarves, wraps, doo-rags, and the regular use of hair rollers. All of which along with any other item are used to cover the hair while sleeping, and believed to protect the hair. In fact, these items can contribute and increase the risk of poor blood circulation, headaches, leave deep elastic impression marks around the head, leave bow knot indentions on the forehead, sides and back of the head, leave roller indentions on the scalp, cause scalp sensitivity and soreness.

In the event of head injuries, facial and head surgeries, any additional pressure and stress to these areas is alleviated, since the Nylon cover is used by placing it over the bed pillows and pillowcases.

Because the Nylon cover act as a barrier shielding the fabric surfaces against soil, stains, facial makeup and hair color, it is beneficial in protecting your bed linen from permanent damage and costly replacement expenses.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To ensure fit, the Nylon cover should be measured and cut to fit the specific shapes and sizes of the item. [0024]
An industrial, commercial and serger sewing machines can be used to construct and manufacture the cover. [0025]

With right sides together, stitch the sides and bottom, leaving the top open, turn inside out. Claims

1. What I claim as my invention is a protective cover made from Nylon that will protect pillows, bed pillows, pillowcases, and all types of fabric surfaces. The Nylon cover acts as a barrier when placed over an item, therefore, protecting it from soil, stains, facial makeup, hair coloring.

2. What I claim as my invention is a protective cover made from Nylon that will protect the hair. The Nylon cover acts as a barrier, when used to cover bed pillows or pillowcases and all types of fabric surfaces. It will not absorb and rob the hair of natural oils and moisture like other materials such as cotton. The Nylon cover's silky smooth texture eliminates any would be friction between the hair and other surfaces reducing the possibility of damage to the hair.
