Abstract
A regular tank or aquarium made out of a transparent material and has a separation panel situated at the center. The separation panels is held in place by eight panel-holders position by pairs at each side of the bottom portion and at each side of the upper portion, and are implanted inside the container. Another part of the tank is a back pouch or a slot opening situated at the back of the container.
Description
- Aquarium or fish tanks are found in virtually every household. Ranking as America's second largest hobby aquarium fish keeping has outranked such popular pastimes as gardening or, stamps collecting. Many aquarists specialize in breeding colorful and exotic species; still others seem to abhor the problems inherent, and try to maintain a peaceful yet magnificent tank collection. But because of the incompatibility that can be found in some species the inhabitant of said tank might not always live such a peaceful Life. One can even find territoriality and aggressiveness among individuals of the same species, thereby causing major problem for the keeper.
- In his book “Aquarium decorating and planning” Wilfried weigel writes: “The serious aquarist is not usually satisfied by a single tank. So why not have two matching tanks? This would allow him to have, say, two species of fish from the same habitat witch could not be kept together in captivity; In such a case the tanks could be decorated so as to suggest that they were actually one”
- It is the object of the invention to help bypass most of the problems such as cannibalism, keeping livebearers from eating their young. Provide a proper diet for vegetarian and protein eating fish. Keeping smaller fish from large mouth predators, or any other task that usually requires two or more tanks in other to be carried out.
- Another method that is currently being used for growing fish is a net cage place inside the tank, but it only pertains to fish, and provides little space, however these tanks could also house other animal species. In that case the present invention need not be confine to one shape, certain part can be omitted to allow simplicity.
- FIG. 1 is a detailed view of the basic component of the invention.

- FIG. 3 is an alternative view of the invention wherein the back pouch of FIG. 1is omitted.
- FIG. 4 is another alternative view of FIG. 3 wherein two separation panels are utilized.

- As represented in FIG. 1 this invention is a
regular tank 1 constructed out of a transparent material and as position at the center aseparation panel 2 forming a dividing wall thereby converting the container into two separate tanks. - Implanted inside the
tank 1 are a total of eight panel-holders 3. A pair is position at the middle of each side of the bottom, and at each side of the top portion of the container in other to facilitate the removal or to hold theseparation panel 2 in place. - Position at the back of the
container 1 is arectangular box 4 with four small corners, able to hold in the background picture of an aquarium. - FIG. 2 is an unassembled view of FIG. 1 wherein the
separation panel 2 is lifted up and put aside. - Represented in FIG. 3 is another alternative view of FIG. 1 wherein the
back pouch 4 is omitted and the owner can than place the background picture the usual way by taping it at the back of the container. - FIG. 4 is another alternative view of FIG. 3 for bigger tanks, two
separation panels 2 are utilized at each side of the container for breeding purposes, or what have you, the middle part can than serve as a community tank for the other fish. - As another alternative to the invention FIG. 5 comprises solely of the
back pouch 4 placed at the back of the container. Omitted are theseparation panel 2 and the panel-holders 3 - FIG. 6 is yet another alternative view of the invention where only the
separation panel 2 is utilized. Omitted are the back pouch or slot-opening 4 and the panel-holders 3. - The separation panel of FIG. 6 is implanted inside of the container, thereby making it an immovable wall. Said container might also house other animal species other than fish.
- FIG. 7 is a top and side view of the invention wherein from a side view the panel-holders are made entirely invisible by the support rim of the container.
- The panel-holders of FIG. 7 are place directly beneath the support rim and are partly visible from the top but are made entirely invisible when the lid cover is place on top of the container.
- FIG. 8 is a decorated view of the bottom portion of the container wherein the separation panel of FIG. 1 is not being utilized and the panel-holders are totally hidden by the gravel place at the bottom portion of the tank.
Claims (5)
1. A multiple chamber tank for breeding and to separate incompatible species, said tank comprising: a separation panel place inside a large container, forming a dividing wall
said separation panel is held in place by eight panel-holders witch are implanted inside the tank, and are position by pairs at each side of the bottom portion and at each side of the upper portion of the container
the separation panel is a moveable panel, able to move in and out of the container
a back pouch such as a slot opening or a rectangular box with four small corners is situated at the back of the container so as to hold in the background picture of an aquarium.
2. As another alternative the back pouch of claim 1 may be omitted. Inside the tank are the panel-holders and the separation panel.
3. The back pouch of claim 1 may be placed alone within the tank with out neither the separation panel nor the panel-holders
4. As another alternative one or more separation panels may be used inside the large container forming several dividing walls.
5. As yet another alternative, the back pouch and the panel-holders may be omitted, living the separation panel implanted inside the tank.
