When the lighting fixture is secured in this or any similar manner, all that is visible from the exterior are the ornamental end cap pieces, the translucent cylindrical light diffuser and the side Walls of the ornamental channelled frame. This makes for the very compact and ornamental fixture which is particularly adaptable for use for home interiors, bathrooms, merchandise display and various other uses. The interior of the casing may be readily inspected by a very simple manual manipulation involving the removal of one end cap piece and the cylinder which may be effected without touching any bolts, nuts, screws or the like which are completely hidden from view when the fixture is in assembled condition.

In a lighting fixture, a channelled frame, a paix` of end cap pieces secured thereto, one of said cap pieces being removable therefrom, a lamp socket secured to said frame and a translucent light diffuser fitting about said socket and removably held in place within said channelled frame by said cap pieces, said frame being recessed near one of its ends to form a spring-like clip adapted to releasably engage a. fiange of said removable cap piece or for holding the latter in place when said fixture is assembled.

A light fixture comprising a channelled frame, a centrally located longitudinal member secured to said channelled frame, a pair of lamp sockets secured to said central portion, lead wires from said socket extending through an opening in said frame, a pair of end caps one of Which is frictionally and removably held by a spring clip portion formed in said channelled frame, a longitudinally extending translucent light diffuser formed with a recess and adapted to fit Within the confines of said cap pieces and adapted to be longitudinally Withdrawn from the casing after said removable cap piece has been removed.

A light fixture comprising a channelled frame, a centrally located longitudinal member secured to said channelled frame, a pair of lamp 4sockets secured to said central portion, lead wires from said socket extending through an opening in said frame, a pair of end caps one of which is frictionally and removably held by a spring clip portion formed in said channelled frame, a longitudinally extending translucent light diffuser formed with a recess and adapted to be longitudinally withdrawn from the casing after said removable cap piece has been removed, one of said lamp sockets being so secured to said central portion as to be adjustable longitudinally thereon.

In a lighting fixture, a channelled frame, a pair of end cap pieces secured thereto, one of said cap pieces being removable therefrom, a lamp socket secured to said frame and a translucent light diffuser fitting about said socket and removably held in place within said channelled frame by said cap pieces, all of the attachment devices with the exception of the end caps being concealed from view when the fixture is assembled and secured to a suitable base.

5. In a lighting fixture, a channelled frame,

a pair of end cap pieces secured thereto, one of said cap pieces being removable therefrom, a lamp socket secured to said frame and a translucent light diffuser fitting about said socket and removably held in place within said channelled frame by said cap pieces, said frame being recessed near one of its ends to form a spring-like clip adapted to releasably engage a flange of said removable cap piece or for holding the latter in place when said fixture is assembled, all of the attachment devices With the exception of the end caps being concealed from view when the fixture is assembled and secured to a suitable base.

A light fixture comprising a channelled frame, a centrally located longitudinal member secured to said channelled frame, a pair of lamp sockets secured to said central portion, lead wires from said socket extending through an opening in said frame, a pair of end caps one of which is frictionally and removably held by a spring clip portion formed in said channelled frame, a longitudinally extending translucent light diffuser formed with a recess and adapted to fit within the confines of said cap pieces and adapted to be longitudinally withdrawn from the casing after said removable cap piece has been removed, all

In a lighting fixture, a frame adapted to be secured to a. suitable wall base, a pair of end cap pieces secured thereto, one of said cap pieces being slidably removable therefrom, a lamp socket secured to said frame and a translucent light diffuser fitting about said socket so as to substantially envelope the same and slidably engage said frame to render it movable into place within and against said frame and engaged by and held in such place by both of said cap pieces, all of the attachment devices including that of the frame to the Wall base and that of the cap pieces to the frame with the exception only of the end caps and said frame themselves being concealed from view when the fixture is assembled and secured to a suitable base.
