In a candle socket, a pair of flat frame members formed of insulating material, a plurality of Aformed integral sheet-metal spacer and assembly members disposed between the frame mem-y bers and having extensions projecting through the framemembers to'hold them substantially parallel to each other, a screw shell abutting the frame members, one of said spacer and assembly members having lugs extending through the base of the screw shell and bent over to thereby fasten the frame members to `the screw shell, another one of said spacer and assembly members having a projection extending through an aperture in the screw shell'and disposed toconstitute a center lamp contact, said two spacers forming electrical l terminals of the shell and center contacts respectively.

A candle socket as defined in claim 2, including a pair of stationary contacts, one attached to the same spacer member which carries the center lamp contact and the vother attached to another vone of the spacer and assembly members, and an adjustable bridging contact disposed between thek to a spacer and assembly members at diagonally opposite corners and having brush ends extending toward the middle of the frame members, a rotatable bridging contact device including a stepV-by-step rotatable contact wheel disposed between the frame membersr substantially midway between the corners thereof engagedby thebrush ends, means carried at one end of the frame members for operating said bridging contact device to open and close the circuitrbetween thel stationary contacts, and a screwrshell supported y at the opposite end of the frame members.
5. A candle socket as defined in claim 4, wherein said stationary contacts are provided with a plurality of projections bent over the spacing members to which they are attachcadvlas to lie' on either side of the extensions of such spacing,`
members and between the spacing membersv and.r *l e y the frame members.
6. A candle socket as definedin claim 4', wheref in one of the spacing membersv has a plurality of integral projections vextending through apere tures inf the shell4 and clinched over to attach the screw shell to the frame membersr.'

A candle socket as 'defined in claim 4, whereof integral projections` extending,v through apertures in the screw shell" and clinched over to attach the shell to the frame members, one ofl the spacer and assembly members carrying the stationary contact having` an extension disposed through an aperture in the shell and shaped to provide a center lamp contact, and means car-` ried by the spacer and assembly member which f supports the shell and by vthe spacer and assem- 10 yin one of the spacing members lhas a plurality y bly member carrying the second stationary contact for connecting the socket to a source .of power.
8. In a candle socket a pair of elongated `flat rectangular frame members vformed `of sheet `insulating material, said membersbeing identical andeach having twoA marginal recesses along one edge on adjacently disposed edges, a lug extending from the oppositeedge' of .each member disposed in alignment with a recess in the op-` posite edge, said members being punched from sheet material whereby each lug is formed from the material taken out of the recess of the adjacently punched member, spacer members for` holding the frame members in alignment, terminals mounted on the frame members one adjacent each pair of opposite recesses whereby ll said recesses permit passingof conductorsfromf the terminals to the outside of the frame, and
a tubular candle shell placed over the frame member held by said lugs.

In a candle socket, a vpair of frame members comprisingI iiat pieces of insulating mate- -r rial, a plurality of sheet metal spacer and assemf bly members disposed between the frame members, one of said spacer'and assembly members disposed at one end of the framemembersxwith a portion flush with the upper edges thereof, a y l shell socket mountedabove said spacer/and in4 contact with the flush portion, an insulating plate resting within the shell socket upon the bottom thereof, integral lugs on said spacers and assembly member extending through said s'hell socketv and insulating plate to rigidly secure the socket members.
