The pilot stem 5 may be screwed into the end of shank 2 either before or after the Washer 12 and nut 13 have .been applied. After inserting the head into the valve seat, the tool is rotated by means of either a Wrench or rod, as previously described.
. To replace a Worn or damagedabrasive disk1`4, it is merely necessary to remove the clamp nut andA washer, slip the clamping member 16 off the sha-nk, and remove the disk. A- fresh disk can then be easily and expeditiously mounted upon the grinding head. f
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:
`1. A tool Vfor grinding valve seats comprising a shank, having a conical grinding head thereon, adapted to engage the valvev seat, said head having Vr shaped recesses formed therein, an abrasive member adapted to partly cover said head and fit in said recesses, a clamping element forl clamp'- ing said disk against said grinding head having V-shaped arms adapted to iit into the grooves formed Vin the head'for holding the disk against said head. 2. A tool for grinding valve seats comprising a shank with a reduced portion thereon, having a conical grinding head thereon, said head having radial V shaped' recesses formed therein, an'abraL sive member adap-ted to i'lt over said head, a sub-Y stantially rigid clamping element having V shaped arms for clamping said abrasive member'in said recesses and against said head.

A tool of the character described having a grooved grinding head, an abrasivev` element substantially covering said head, a semi-rigid metal clamping member having V shaped taperedfarms, the upper endsthereof andthe bottom of said element being concave to permit stretching of said abrasive element.
