By this arrangement and combination of the parts of rim or bustle enables the corset to be made with a continuous and close-fitting connection between the sides, thereby enabling the corset to be lengthened over the hips, which is a i very desirable object.

My improved corset D is provided with extra bosom-forms H, which serve to keep the front of the corset in perfect shape. These extra bosom-forms are made convexin shape, and extend both above and below the upper edge d of the corset. They are provided, both in the upper and lower half, with stifi'eners e, which have the effect to expand and keep in form the front or bust of the corset, thereby enabling a very stylish fit of dress to be obtained over the same. These forms are exceedingly light, cool, and flexible, and, being made separate from the corset, can be conveniently attached by means of eyelets f or hooks g,- and by providing the form with a series of eyelets, f, they can be adjusted up or down upon the hooks g, secured to the front of the corset. Of course, if preferred, they may be laced on or applied in any convenient way.

' In making the extra bosom-forms, the edge h of the part I is stitched to the edge '5 of the part J, and during the operation of stitching said edges together the part I is turned down by the side of piece J, as indicated in dotted lines, Fig. 4.

The lower part of the piece J may be cut in a difl'erent form-more rounded or curvedif preferred.

Having described my improvements in corsets, what I claim therein as new and of my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patout is 1. The combination, with the sides of the corset extended down over the hips, of the back-straps or extensions Gr G, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.

2. The combination, with the back of a corpendent uniting straps or extensions G G below the bustle and waist-line of the corset, as described.

3. As an improved article of manufacture,

a corset provided with extra bosom-forms H H, rim or bustle F, back lacing or extension set, of a short bustle or rim, F, aind indnieces G and for the purposes set forth.
