and wherein identification and selection of the gaskets is facilitated by providing supports for 4tags or other identifying devices and for an information book containing data relating to the displayed gaskets whereby a desired gasket may be selected by referring to the book and the identifying devices.

LThe rack illustrated in Figs. l, 2, 3, and 4 embodies side members 7 and 8 shaped substantially similar to a right angle triangle. One edge of Teach of` these members is medially recessed to provide foot portions 9 at the ends thereof adapted 'to be restedon a counter 10 or the like to support the side members with the inclined `edges thereof `extending upwardly from the counter. Horizontal setbacks 11 are formed in the inclined edge of the side member 7 and vertical risers 12 extend between adjacent setbacks. Similar setbacks and risers are formed in the inclined edge of the side member 8 in alignment with the setbacks in the side member 47. Pins 14are secured in the lowermost of the setbacks adjacent the forward edges thereof. A front plate 15 has sleeves 16` at the ends thereof slidably embracing the pins 14. Pins 18 are secured in the uppermost of the setbacks on the respective side members adjacent the rear edges thereof. A back plate 19 has sleeves 20 at the ends thereof slidably embracing the pins 18. The sleeves embracing the pins afford pivotal connection between the side members and the front and back plates and therefore the members and plates may be adjusted relative to each other. (Cl. 211-) s one of the sidemembers may be arranged to extend parallel with an edge of a counter, as illustrated in broken lines in Fig. 3, and the back plate may be arranged to extend at a right angle to the parallel sidemember whereupon the front plate will extend at an angle less than a right angle with respect to the parallel side member and the other side member will extend at an angle less than a right angle with respect to the back plate, and when the rack is so arranged the alignment of the respective setbacks on the side members is maintained. If desired, one side member and the front plate may be extended parallel with the adjacent edges of the counter or the members and plates may be adjusted relative to each other in any other way that may be required to afford neat installation of the rack. When the front and back plates extend parallel to each other, the side members incline inwardly from the back plate since .the front plate is shorter than the back plate, this being clearly illustrated in Figs. 1 and 3. Inasmuch as the sleeves at the ends of the front and back plates slidably engage the pins on the side members, the platesmay be easily disconnected from the side members whereby the separated parts may be stacked one upon the other to facilitate shipping. The slidable connection has the additional advantage of affording assembly and disassembly of the rack without the use of tools for the sleeves need only be slid over the pins to connect the front and back plates to the side members. Pins are secured in each of the setbacks, adjacent to and parallel with the risers.` The pins project above the setbacks at the upper ends of the adjacent risers and cooperate with these setbacks to retain gaskets in displayposition. y 4VSupporting means are provided on the rack for an information book containing data relative to the gaskets or the like displayed on the rack. This supporting means embodies an angular ange 23 at the bottom of the plate 19. This flange may be an integral part of the back plate or it may be made as a separate part and fastened to the back plate. A strap 25 is connected to the back plate above the flange. An information book is rested on the flange and held by the strap against displacement.
The pins 22 may be tubular to receive the tag holders or the pins may be solid and the tag holders provided with female portions to embrace the upper ends of the pins.
In the preferred use of the rack, corresponding gaskets are arranged in groups. The gaskets of the group of the shortest and narrowest gas- 4kets are rested on edge on the lowermost of the a part of the front gasket of each group is'in( The pins 22 extend intermediate ofy plain view. and space the groups of gaskets which facilitates removal of the rear gasket ofv each group.
In the embodiments of the invention Villustrated in Figs. 5 and 6, engagement of the front gasket of each group with the pins forward ofVV the groups is insured inasmuch as the gaskets are rested on downwardly inclined surfaces. Pins 14 and 18 at the ends of the side members of these embodiments of the invention are embraced by sleeves 16 and 20 on the front and back plates, in the manner described. In the embodiment of the invention shown in` Fig. 5, .no setbacks are provided and the pins 22 are secured in the inclined edges of the side members at spaced intervals, the pins on one side member being aligned with the pins on the other side member. In the embodiment of the invention illustrated in Fig. 6, horizontal portions are provided at the upper ends of the inclined edges and the pins 18 are secured in these horizontal portions. Outwardly and downwardly inclined setbacks are formed in the inclined edges extending from the horizontal portions and the setbacks on one side member are aligned with the setbacks on the other side members. VIn .this embodiment of the invention the lowermost of the setbacks and the horizontal portions are longer than the intermediate setbacks. Pins 22' are secured in the lowermost setbacks medially in the extent of said setbacks and two groups of gaskets, separated by the pins 22', are rested on these setbacks. Pins 22 are secured in the intermediate setbacks adjacent the forward edges thereof and retain the groups of gaskets on the respective setbacks.
Selection of a desired gasket may be easilyattained by referring to the information book supported in the rack and tags in the tag holders mounted on the pins. The selected gasket may be easily removed from the rear of the group of similar gaskets since the pins space the groups apart. In the embodiments of the invention illustrated in Figs. 5 and 6, the gaskets are rested on inclined surfaces and consequently the front group of a gasket always engages the pins forwardly of the group, which additionally facilitates removal of the rear'gasket of a group. `The l parts of the rack are pivotally interconnected so that they may be adjusted relative to each other to afford neat installation of the rack. The rack may be easily set up or taken down for it is only necessary to slide thesleeves on the front and back plates over the end pins on the side members and this may be done conveniently without the use'of tools.
Inthe foregoing description I have described selected embodiments of the invention, but it is to vbe understood that these are capable of varation and modication and therefore I do not wish to be vlimited to the precise details set forth but desire to avail myself of such changes and alterations as fall within the spirit and scope of the following claims.
I claim:
l. In a display rack for gaskets and like articles, side members including inclined upper edges having horizontal portions at the upper ends thereof and outwardly and downwardly inclined setbacks in the portions of said inclined edges extending from said horizontal portions,
than said front plate and extending between corresponding ends of said side members, and sleeves at the ends of said front and back members and pivotally embracing said pins to interconnect said front and back members with the side members whereby said members maybe adjusted relative to each other to permit neatinstallation of said rack, said sleeves slidably embracing said pins so that they may be slid there- 120 from to permit said side members and front and back plates' to be stacked one upon the other to facilitate shipping thereof.
