I claim:
1. In a railway car, the combination of spaced apart side sheets, spaced apart side sills, and a pair of substantially duplicate castings secured together adjacent the center of the car and se cured to said side sills to form a cross bearer of the car, each of said castings formed with an integral diagonal brace extending from substantially the center of the car to the upper part of the side sheet to which it is secured.
2. In a railway car, the combination of spaced apart side sills, a pair of substantially duplicate castings secured together adjacent the center of the car and secured to saidl side sills to form a cross bearer of the car, the lower margins of said castings formed into outwardly flared portions, and sloping oor sheets secured to said flared portions.
3. In a railway car, the combination of spaced apart side sills, a pair of substantially duplicate castings secured together adjacent the center of the car and secured to said side sills to form a cross bearer of the car, each of said castings formed with an integral diagonal braceextending from substantially the center of the car to the upper part of the side sheet to which it is secured, the lower margins of said castings formed into outwardly flared portions, and sloping floor sheets secured to said iiared portions.
