A further object is to provide the adjacent portions of the cover sections with registering chambers, thereby providing a dead air space in the cover for insulating the casket chamber and keeping it at an even temperature at all times. A further object is to form the vault cover from two sections, thereby allowing the same to be reasily placed in position and sealed at time of burial with the -minimum amount of labor.'

The invention having been set forthV what is claimed as new and useful is:-
1. The combination with a burial vault cover -formed from registeringsections having registering chambers to form an air space in the cover, interengaging parts carried by the cover sections and having aV sealing material therebetween, of means carried by oneof'the cover sections and linterengaging with means carried by the 'other cover-section and forming means whereby when the cover sections are forced to` gether onv the sealing means, said cover sections will be positively and rigidly attached sections and extending into the other section,` spring flange grip-ping plates imbedded in oneV ofv said sections and positioned to grip the bolts, said bolts having frusto conically shaped heads plates inclining and anchored inrelation to the boltk shank whereby when said bolt shanks and head are forced between the gripping plate ends,
