For a more detailed description of our invention, reference is to be had'to the accompanyingl drawing, forming a part hereof, in which Figure 1 shows severed blanks of Celluloid from which the Celluloid parts of our invention are made;

Figure 2 shows these parts partially assembled and shaped;

Figure 3 is an end elevation of a complete frame embodying our invention;

Figure 4 shows an open frame with our invention attached, parts being shown in cross section; Figure 5 is a detailed sectional view showing the fastening means; and

Figure 6 shows a portion of a metal frame provided with the Celluloid holding features.

Throughout the various views of the drawing, similar reference Characters designate similar parts.

Our improved frame 1 has the usual metal parts 2 pivoted together at 3 and provided with vthe usual U frames 4. From these U frames and near the pivots are struck the integral ears 5 so that the same may pass through corresponding perforations 6 on the Celluloid cover 7, and then be bent down as shown at 8 in Figure 3, so as to securely hold the Celluloid cover 7 in place.

The Celluloid cover 7 is made from a blank 9 of sheet material shaped as shown in Figure 1,

with two large angular recesses 10 and two smaller recesses 11, on the opposite edge, so that in adjacent blanks, between these recesses, are formed the Corner braces 12 as indicated. Thereafter each blank 9 is bent on the dotted lines 13, as indicated in Figure l, so as to be shaped into the condition shown in Figure 2, and thereafter at each corner and on the exterior thereof the ornamental brace 12 above described is added. It will be noted (see Fig. 5) that the exterior part 14 of the Celluloid covering 7 is wider than the inside part 15, in the preferred embodiment of our invention herein shown, although these proportions may be Varied if so desired. The celluloid parts 7 are put in position on the frame 2 by being sprung into place and over the prongs the conventional manner and preferably made` out of Celluloid with an external appearance matching that of the material out of which the part 7 is formed, and this is held in place by means of a suitable pivot 17 on which it turns, and this pivotl'l passes through the Celluloid handle, as indicatedin Figures 4 and 5. In the preferred embodiment of our invention, the Clasp 16 is manipulated in the Conventional manner.

A frame made as above described may be secured to abag or pocket book orother receptacle in the conventional manner, and if desired, the Celluloid ornamental parts 7 may be placed in position after this receptacle is attached.

While we have shown and described one embodiment of our invention, it is obvious that it is not restricted thereto, but that it is broadv enough to cover all structures that come Within the scope of the annexed claims.

Having thus described our invention, what We claim is:

1. A blank for Celluloid covers for pocket book frames having inwardly extending recesses from each side, the recesses at one'side being larger than those of the opposite side, and corner braces formed from the cut-'out portions of the recesses on the adjacent blanks.

2. A blank for covers for pocket book frames, consisting of an elongated strip havingV inwardly extending angular notches located opposite to one another in its longitudinalv edges, the recesses in one edge of the strip being longer than those located in the opposite edge so that whenl two blanks located in juxtaposition are cut from a sheet with their respective notches in registration, corner braces for the cover are defined by the notches in the edges of thetwo blanks.

3. A pocket-book frame comprising, a channelled three sided frame, a Celluloid cover Corresponding in cross-section to said frame and fitted over the same and completely concealing it, tongues struck from the frame andv passing through the Covering to hold the covering on the frame, a flange on the covering of greater width than the width of the frame so that said iiange projects beyond the frame and a clasp pivotally attached to the wider flange of the covering.`
