4 Claims. (01. 4524) This invention relates to improvements in embroidery-hoop holders. One object is to provide an embroidery-hoop holder adapted for use in connection with that type of hoop formed of resilient material, that is, one of the hoops at least being formed of such material or being a split hoop, the ends. thereof being secured together by a spring. A further object is to provide a holder for embroidery-hoops of the resilient type wherein the interfitting hoops are assembled upon the holder and held thereto solely by friction and without the necessity of fastening or securing means for this purpose. A further object is to provide an embroidery-hoop holder wherein the hoop-engaging element may be formed of bendable sheet metal or a like material so that its shape may be altered manually slightly when it is desired to accomodate hoops of difierent sizes. A still further object is to provide an embroidery-hoop holder of very simple construction that is positive and eificient in operation and cheap to manufacture.
With the foregoing and other objects in view the invention consists in the combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter fully described, pointed out in the claims and illustrated in the accompanying drawing which forms a part of this application for patent and in which Fig. 1 is a view of the embroidery-hoop holder in front elevation illustrating its application.

Like reference characters denote corresponding parts throughout.
The reference numeral 1 denotes the inner hoop preferably of metal and recessed to receive the annular gasket 2 of cork or like material and 3 denotes the outer split hoop of resilient material, the ends being adjustably connected together by the spring 4 in a well known manner. The hoops when assembled with the goods 5 therebetween are heldtogether by friction or the resiliency of the outer hoop 3.
The present holder comprises a base plate 6 adapted to be clamped to the table or support '7 7 lock said arm in any adjusted position. The arm,
at its outer end, carries the integral'arcuate head 14 adapted to receive and support the hoops 1, 3.
To attach the hoops to the head 14 the hoops are first separated or forced apart. The outer hoop 3 is now applied to the head so that the same is received therewithin. The inner hoop 1 is now forced into the hoop 3 upon the head 14.
The resiliency of the outer hoop now causes the hoops to firmly bind against the head which memher will then support them while the goods 5 carried by the hoops is being embroidered. By manually bending the head 14 it may be made to lie in the circumference of a larger or a smaller circle to permit it to accomodate larger or smaller hoops.
What is claimed is:--
1. In an embroidery-hoop holder, asupport arm, and a head having circumferentiallyextending wings carried by said support arm for disposal between the embroidery hoops whereby said memmers are frictionally secured to said head.
2. In holders for resilient embroidery-hoops, a support arm, and an arcuate head having circumferentially extending wings carried by said support arm for disposal between said hoops.
3. In holders for embroidery-hoops, one of said hoops being formed of resilient material; a support arm, and an arcuate head having circumferentially extending wings formed of bendable material carried by said support arm for disposal between said hoops.
4. In holders for resilient embroidery-hoops, an adjustable support arm, and an arcuate head having circumferentially extending wings integral' with the outer end of said support arm, said head being adapted for disposal between the said hoops whereby they arefrictionally supported.
