The trolley member 48 is preferably. made in twoesectio'ns 66* and 68- hinged together at 70 Q so that whenathamemtienis pulled-out thefront section 65 can drop down out of the way and disengage the racks 56. A dog 72 is pivotally connected to the rear section 68 within a recess thereinand is adapted to enter a slot 74 in the guideway 18 to act as stop to prevent member 48 from being entirely withdrawn from its guideway. Upon backward movement of the member 48 the dog '72.is lifted by engagement with the lower portion of the guideway 18 to allow free movement to retractedposition. At Fig. 8 is shown a bracket or fixture '76 adapted to besecured to a Wall, such as in a closet, and provided with tongue receiving pockets or slots 30 32 and 3% similar to those formed in the strip 16 and adapted to receive and support the track member 20 together with the slide 50 and racks 56 when the assembly is transferred from a trunk to the closet for supporting the garments out side of the trunk. The member '76 isalso provided with set screws 38 for engaging the bifurcated ends of the tongues 26 and 28 when the member 20 is attached to said bracket 6.

The device may be readily pulled out from the position shown at Fig. 3 by grasping the knobs '78. When the member 48 is pulled out sufficiently to allow the section 66 to drop down, the several hangers 56 supported by their pintles-58 may be swung or fanned out relative to each other, as shown at Fig. 1, to allow the clothes orgarments tobe readily removed or-placed in position without wrinkling the garments on contiguous hangers or racks and without the insertion or removal of any garment being interfered with because of the presence of contiguous garments. Upon retraction of the device, the front section 66 is brought into alignment with the guideway 18 and the several hangers 56 hookedinto the notches 64 and retained thereby in fixed spaced apart relation. .When desired the clothes or garments can be readily transferred from the trunk to a closet or the like by detaching the member 20 and hooking the same to a bracket such as Having thus described my invention, what I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. A device of the character described comprising racks, and plural extensible means in spaced relation for supporting said racks at the ends, one of said extensible means-pivotally supporting said racks for swinging movement horizontally, and the other of said extensiblemeans including provision for disengaging'theracks in the projected positions of the several extensible means to allow said swinging movement of the racks.

2. A device of the character described comber having tongues received into said open por tions, a trolley member slidably supported by said guide member and having a series of longitudinally spaced apart holes in the top thereof, and racks each having a vertical pintle at one end received into said holes for pivotally supporting the racks. A device of the character described comprising a pair oftubular track membershaving loning a longitudinal series of holes therein and the other trolley member having a longitudinal series of recesses therein, and a plurality of garment supporting members having end portions received into said holes for pivotal movement, and hooked portions at the opposite ends adapted to engage said recesses.

6. A device of the character described comprising a pair of extensible members, one of said members having a series of holes therein at the upper side, and the other extensible member including jointed portions having recesses at the upper side thereof, means for retaining the jointed portions in alignment'in the retracted position thereof, and a plurality of racks having pintles at one end received into said holes for pivotal movement and having hooked portions at the opposite ends adapted to engage said recesses, said jointed member in the extended position thereof dropping out of the way to allow free swinging movement of said racks.

7. A device of the character described comprising a pair of tubular tracks having longitudinal slots at the upper sides thereof, trolley members sliding within said tracks and having portions projecting through said slots, one of said trolley members including hinged portions adapted to be retained in alignment by the track therefor in the retracted position thereof and allowing the forward portion to drop down in the extended position thereof, and a plurality of garment supporting members pivotally connected at one end to the projecting portion of the other trolley member at longitudinally spaced points thereon and adapted to be supported at the opposite ends by the projecting portion of the hinged trolley member.

A device of the character described com-' prising a pair of tracks, trolley members slidable on said tracks, one of said trolley members including hinged sections adapted to be retained in alignment by the track therefor in the retracted position thereof and allowing the front section to drop down in the extended position thereof, and a plurality of racks pivotally connected to the othertrolley member at spaced points therealong and adapted to be supported at the free ends by the hinged trolley member in the retracted position thereof, the free ends of said racks and said hinged trolley member having interengaging portions to retain the racks in spaced apart-relation at the free ends thereof.

9. A device of the character described comprising a pair of tracks, trolley members slidable on said tracks, one of said trolley members in-.

cluding hinged sections adapted to be-retained in alignment by the track therefor in the retracted position thereof and allowing the front section to drop down in the extended position thereof, and a plurality of racks pivotally connected to the other trolley member at spaced points therealong and adapted to be supported at the free ends by the hinged trolley member in the retracted position thereof, the free ends of said racks and said hinged trolley member having interengaging portions to retain the racks in spaced apart relation at the free ends thereof, and means for stopping the forward sliding movement of the hinged trolley member at a point where the forward section is free to drop.

The combination with a cabinet having a' reinforcing member secured about the back and sides at the inside thereof adjacent the top, of a pair of tracks secured to said reinforcing member, trolley members sliding on said tracks, and a plurality of garment supporting members pivotally connected to one of said trolley members and having the free ends thereof adapted to be supported-by the other trolley member. l

The combination with a cabinet having a reinforcing member secured about the back and sides at the inside thereofv adjacent to the top, of a pair of tracks secured to said reinforcing member, one of said tracks and said reinforcing member having portions interengaging to render the track detachable, trolley members slidable on said tracks, the trolley member of the detachable track having a series of holes therein, and the other trolley member including hinged portions retained in alignment by the track thereof in the retracted position thereof, the forward hinged portion being free to drop in the extended position thereof, and a plurality of racks having pivot portions received in said holes, and adapted to be supported at the free ends by the hinged trolley member in the retracted position thereof, the free ends of the racks and the hinged trolley member having interengaging portions to retain the free ends of the racks in position.

A device of the character described comprising a pair of tracks, trolley members slidable on said tracks, one of said trolley members including hinged sections adapted to be retained in alignment by the track therefor in the retracted position thereof, and allowing the front section to drop down in the extended position thereof, and a plurality of racks pivotally connected to the other trolley member at'spaced points therealong and adapted to be supported at the free ends by the hinged trolley member in the retracted position thereof.
