lt is common in wringers to supply some means for catching the drip from the rolls and rcturn.
ing this drip to the receptacle from which the clothes are fed to the wringer. Wringershave been formed with troughs at the bottoms of the vvringcrs and spouts secured to the troughs by nienns of which water collected in the trough might be returned by Ineens of the spout to the receptacle.` With such devices it hes been common to swivel the spout on the bottom of the trough so that the spout could be turned to the -iront, or rear of the wringer es the use might demand. Such o, construction is illustrated in rny application, Serial Number 521,434, tiled hier. th, i931. With the present structure a-trough is provided et the bottom oi the wringen' and this trough has en opening from which the Weiner collected is discharged. A tilting spout is mount-- ed below this opening, the spout extending to E the iront und resi' so that by tilting ythe water tney he made to run toward the side from which the clothes ore fed and this may be reversed nt will. Such a structure makes the reversnl very lsitnple and convenient and the manner oi nssenibling very simple. Features ond details ci `the invention will appesi from the specification and claims.
.e preferred embodiment oi the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing es iol 3@ lotvszi Fig. l shows c. vertical section on the line lai in Fig. t.
Fign 2, e. section on the line 2--2 in Fig. l. Fig. 3, e. perspective view showing the pivotal connection between the drip boord and the gucrd p ete.

These parte nre of co mw construction. The side stiles have the inwardly extending flanges with perforetions l2 into which extend lugs it. s@ Drip boards v,i4 have the end walls, or :flanges i5,v the upper ends oi these being provided with perioretions it.. The side walls ere sufciently resilient to permit springing the ends of the side wells so es to permit their entrance into the openings lil andthe lugs it extend into the lol.' ca -32) perforations as the side walls are released, thus making a pivotal connection beween the drip boards and the guard plates. The drip boards have the inturnedouter edges l'l.
A trough 18 has the side walls 19 and end walls 20. This is arranged directly under the rolls and extends around the ends of the frame. The trough may form the bose of the wringer and is so illustrated being secured to the side Stiles at the ends. preferably at the center and e neck 2l surrounds this opening. The neck hes projections 22 at each side struck up nl trie metil.
A tilting trough 2.3 has o. bottom 2t and side wells 25. The side walls lieve detents 2t struck up in them corresponding to the projections 22. The two ends of the trough ere preferably in clined with relation to each other so that when one end is tipped down the opposite end forms e definite stop against on out-flow of water.
l prefer to forni the' trough oi e length with relation to the edge of the drip plete l5 so that the high end of the spout will engage the inturned edge i7 of the adjacent drip hoard and thus lock the spout in its adjusted position. The pivotal connection of the drip boord permits of it swinging out to ellovv this engagement and the side walls are curved et 2l so that when the end of the spout engages the edge i7 it forces the drip board outwardly to permit oi the ena gri-gement. A spring 28 extends from o flange 29 oi one drip board to the opposite hongo and yieldingly holds the drip boards iny their lower position.
With the trough tilted dnd locked by the drip board, the inclination ci the spout is such as to return the collected Water to e receptacle 30 from which the clothes nre ted to the wringen The side walls of the trough ere sciently resilient to permit the assembly ci the trough on the neck by merely springing the metal. This is readily accomplished by placing one projection 22 in one oi the detente .26 with the trough turned to one side, or the other, and then by twisting. the trough to its normal position the projection springs the side well sumciently to permit its movement to a. position in which the projection enters the detent.
