Referring to the drawings in detail and '30 wherein similar reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, the improved gear head comprises a supporting base 5 embodying a base plate 6 from which extends a depending vertical 5 suction pipe 7. Communicating with the upper end of thesuction pipe 7 above the base plate 6 is an L-shaped discharge pipe 8 through which the water is delivered from the suction pipe 7. Supported horizontally 0 above the base plate 6 as by means of legs 9 is a top plate 10 of circular formation as clearly shown in Figure 4.v This preferably flat top plate 10 is supported coaxially above the suction pipe 7 and is provided with a plain, axially disposed circular opening 11.
