METHonfor MAKING swrne fiointi'fnnnss onnamnnirs'j Application filed December n This invention relates to new and useful improvements in manufacturingswing joint dress ornaments. 5 a i The invention has for an object thecon- 5 struction and manufacturing swingijoint 515 the same planeas the frame from, one side and around an inserted wire. r a
A still further object of this invention is the construction of a mould in which the tongue is arranged sothat when the dress ornament is formed the tongue need not be passed through the frame but maybe used in its formed condition. A still furtherobject of this invention is the construction of a device of the class de scribed which is of simple durable construction, dependable in use and efficient in. operation and which can be manufactured and sold at a reasonable cost.
e For further comprehension of invention, and of the objects and advantages thereof, "referencewill behhad to the following description and accompanyingdrawing, and tothe appended claims inwhich thevarious 1 novel features of the invention are more pai F335 ticularly set forth. a v
In the accompanying drawing Fig.2 is an elevational view looking in the on the line 33of;Fig. 2.
Fig, 4 is a view similar to Fig.3 but illustrating another modified'arrangement.
As a further object of this invention it; is
a a forming a material partof this disclosure a Fig. 1 is; a perspectiveview of a mould w constructed according to this invention;
Fig.5 is. a fragmentary view similarlto a th portionof Fig. 2"butlillustrating another. embodimentof the invention.

It is of substantially crescent shape and terminates in ends 24: which form bearings for the wire inserted and through which holds the tongue. Idlermet-al recesses 15 extend from the frame recess 13 to the recess 17 which forms the tongue and, cross bar portion ofthe ornament.
In Fig. 6, another arrangement hasbeen disclosed in which a frame recess 13 is provided of substantially trapezoidal shape. An
idle metal recess 15 extends from the side of the recess 13 and connects with the tongue recess 17. o
In all of the "different forms of mould it metal flowing from the frame to said cross bar to travel in a path substantially radial of said cross bar.
In testimony whereof we have aflixed our signatures.
BERNAT MEGHLOVITS. MORRIS BELLOCH.
- should be noted that the metal is entered through thetop and is discharged into the plane of thef'rames of the ornaments. From there the metal by reason of the idle metal passage may'reach the tongue which is disposed at right angles-to the frame and flow along the recess which forms the tongue.
This arrangement insuresthe frame of the ornament, to be cast perfectly and any de- United States Letters Patent'isf p -ficiency in the metal flow-will occur upon the tongue which usually is partially hiddeii selves to the precise construction herein dis- 'closedand the right is reserved man changes and modifications comingwithin'the scope of the-invention as defined in the appended claims.
Having thus described our invention what we claim as new, and desire to secure'by i 1.
