My invention relates to roll paper dispensers especially adapted for dis ensmg flat sheets of thin tissue paper, speci cally tollet seat covers of the class described in my Patent, No. 1,744,300, dated January 21, 1930, en-

titled Senitary toilet seat cover.

Such toilet seat covers are generally pro vided gratis in the semi-public toilets of hotels, otfice buildings, andthe like, and are most eonveniently provided for this use in rolls, from which each seat cover is separable by means of transverse slits or perforations.

However, although this manner of dispensing the seat covers is the most economical r satisfactory, there are certain disedvantages, in that the tendency is for the user to cerelessly pull off more than one seat cover a t e, which is wasteful; and further, breaking the perforated bond he tween the-covers,. the cover on each side is frequently torn and rendered useless, which is the cause of furth r waste.

The edge of the bottom wall (2 of the housing a is rolled as at 0 and the free edge of the cover is provided with an inwardly and downwardly inclined extension p of less width than the body of the cover, see Figs. 1 and 4, so that when the roll of seat covers is mounted in the housing a and arranged so as to be unwound from the under side, the seat covers may be conveniently grasped to be unwound from the roll.

The corners g of the extension p are bent inwardly slightly and rounded so as to bear against the seat cover as it is withdrawn from the roll.

The seat covers, as illustrated in Figs. 1 and 9, are separable from the body of the roll by transverse incisions 1' and supplementary, longitudinal perforations or slits on the said line of incisions. The perforations or slits s are so arranged that as the seat covers are drawn from the dispenser by grasping the corner thereof in each hand, see Fig. 1, the

V corners g of the extension 12 engage the said perforations s and retard the movement of the sheet, thus causing the bonds 1" between the incisions r to break.

Thus each cover as it is drawn out will automatically be broken from the body of the extending inward over and beyond said ed e, the corners of the free end of said cover eing formed to present interior knob-like protrusions, whereby to centralize the pressure exerted on the sheet in the pulling of the same from the housing, and thus cause the tearing off of a portion of the sheet along its said incisions.

As a dispenser for a roll of sheet material provided with transverse incisions arranged to facilitate separation of the sheet into successive portions, a housing provided with means-for rotatably carrying the said roll, the housing having a rounded ed e over which to draw the sheet, and a cover inged to said housing, the free edge of said cover extending inward over and beyond said edge, the corners of the free end of said cover being formed to present interior knob-like protrusions, whereby to centralize the pressure exerted on the sheet in the pulling of the same from the housing, and thus cause the.

The means I have provided for fastening my dispenser to the wall comprise concavoconvex discs 2 having lips 3 punched through so as to project into the concavity of the disc and bolts 4 located centrally in the disc and projecting from the convex side. By this construction, by filling the disc 2 with a quick drying cement, as at 5, and pressing the same against the wall a permanent fixture is provided to which the dispenser may be fastened by locating the discs 5 in suitable depressions c in the wall 0 of the housing and threading a nut as 6 on theend of the bolt.

I claim:

1. As a dispenser for a roll of sheet material provided with transverse incisions arranged to facilitate separation of the sheet into successive portions, a housing provided with means for rotatably carrying the said roll, the housing having a rounded ed eover which to draw the sheet, and a cover inged to said housing, the free edge of said cover
