Adjacent one strap support 4; a pocket 14:, preferably open at 15, is provided for the reception of the tone control unit 16 and an opening 17 is provided in one side of this pocket to allow the passage of electrical conductors 18 between the tone control unit 16 and the usual receiver 19. Ihe electrical conductors 20, which provide for electrical connection between the tone control unit 16 and the battery 10 and transmitter 7, are preferably disposed in the pocket 5 leading therefrom into the pocket 14: through the open ends 6 and 15 of the pockets 5 and 14, respectively.

These pockets are preferably formed by securing pieces of material to the under side of the garment in any suitable manner, such as, for example, by means of stitching, the opening into the battery pocket 8 being preferably formed by severing the material of the garment along the line 9 to allow ready removal of the battery unit from the outside of the garment, as is possible with the transmitter 7 and tone control unit 16, since these pockets are preferably formed with openings 6 and 15 along the edges of the garment.-

The position of the transmitter receiving pocket 5 not only insures a maximum efliciency in the reception of sound waves, but in addition provides for a secure amount thereof in a position to insure a maximum of comfort to the user. Since the materials from which are made articles of wearing apparel for women are relatively very thin, no substantial impediment to the passage of sound waves to the interior of the transmitter is experienced when the transmitter is so mounted. Placement of the battery 10 at the waistline, preferably at one side of the front of the garment and the tone control unit 16 at the top of the garment adjacent one strap support 4:, insures maximum comfort to the user and ready access to the tone control unit for adjustment thereof without materially disturbing the outer garments while the device is in use.

It will thus be seen that the undergarment of the present invention efficiently attains the objects set forth above in an admirable manner, and that such a garment can be cheaply and readily produced which provides a unitary mount for thetransmitter, the battery and the tone control unit of the type of telephone device depicted, and constitutes in addition a commonly used article of apparel, which when fitted with the units of such a device allows a ready and simple mount thereof on the person of the user in concealed positions.

Since certain changes may be made in the above article and different embodiments of the invention could be made without departing from the scope thereof, it is intended that all matter contained in the above description or shown in the accompanying drawing shall be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.

It is also to be understood that the following claims are intended to cover all of the generic and specific features of the invention herein described, and all statements of the scope of the invention which, as a matter of language, might be said to fall therebetween.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. A womans undergarment comprising a front adapted to cover the chest of a wearer having two layers of material in the central portion, a relatively large article supporting pocket positioned centrally on said front within the region to be disposed adjacent the hollow of the chest formed by stitching together the two above mentioned layers of material, a second article supporting pocket positioned to one side on said front below the :9

region adapted to cover the fullness of the chest and formed by stitching together the two layers of material, a passage formed between said pockets by the two layers of ma terial, and a third relatively small article sup- 0 porting pocket disposed on said front ad.- jacent the shoulder support above the last mentioned region and formed by stitching together the twolayers of material.

2. A womans undergarment comprising a 2 front formed from at least two layers of material except in the regions to be disposed adjacent the fullness of the chest, a substantially tapered shoulder strap anchoring portion adjacent each of the mentioned regions formed from the two layers of material, a relatively large, centrally positioned, article supporting pocket on said front within the region adapted to cover the hollow of the chest and formed by stitching together por- 3 tions of the two layers of material, asecond article supporting pocket positioned on said front to one side and below the region adapted to cover the fullness of the chest and formed by stitching together portions of the; two layers of material with an opening thereinto through the outer layer of material, a passage formed between said pockets by the two layers of material and the deletion of a few stitches in the bottom of said central pocket and in one side of said pocket, and a third relatively small article supporting pocket formed on said front by stitching together the two layers of material of one of said shoulder strap anchoring portions along 3. A womans undergarment comprising a body portion including a front adapted to cover the chest of a wearer, an article supporting pocket positioned centrally on said front within the region to be disposed adjacent the hollow of the chest, a second article supporting pocket positioned to one side on said body portion and below the region adapted to cover the fullness of the chest, a third article supporting pocket positioned to one side on said body portion outside the region adapted to cover the fullness of the chest, and passages in said body portion between said pockets.
