1931. Serial 'nmsesaea The object of this invention is to provide an improved construction of such utensil which will form a combined durable sanitary tight closure for a milk bottle or the like and a dispenser for the contents thereof.

A still further object is to so construct said dispenser that it can be easily accessible on the inside for cleansing.

With these and other objects in View my invention consists in the novel construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and defined in the appended claims.

In the drawing Fig. 1 is a vertical section of my device shown as applied to a conventional milk bottle;

Fig. 2 is a cross section on line 22 of Fig. 1; and

Fig. 3 is a similar section to Fig. 1 of a modified construction thereof.

In the drawing B denotes the container which in present example is in form of a conventional milk bottle having the usual paper seal S.

The device consists of a hollow body 10 which is open on top and bottom and preferably may have the shape of an inverted frustrated cone or a cylinder so that it may be conveniently accessible for cleaning pur- 1 poses. At its open top this body is formed with a marginal spout 10 and is adapted to be closed by a movable lid 11, which is slightly larger in diameter than that of the top of body 10. Since various other modifications may be made inmy device without departing from the principle of my invention I do not wish 5; to restrict myself to the details shown and described.

What'I claim is I 1. A removable bottle closure, comprising a hollow body having a movable lid, a piercing member pivotally mounted at the bottom. of said bodv so as to swing in the arc of a circle and operatively connected to the lid, so that when said lid is opened while the device-is in the neck of a bottle thepaper seal thereof will be pierced and picked up when said device is removed. r 2. In a device as per claim 1, in which the piercer is in form ofa barbed wire fixed in said body and adapted to project downwardly below the lower edge of said body.

3. A device for milk bottles or the like, consisting of a hollow body capable of engaging the mouth portion of the bottle, a movable lid. on said body, and a piercer pivoted in said hollow body and operatively con nected to said movable lid so that, when said device is applied to thebottle and said mov able lid is opened, said piercer will pierce the paper seal of said bottle and withdraw it from the latter when the device is removed.
