WINDOW CLEANERS PAIL Filed llay 17. 1930 I I Invenlon Carl FISaeZ Q By A llomey Patented Nov. 8, 1932 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE Application filed Kay 17,
The present invention relates to a pail designed particularly for use by window clean ers and the like and has for its prime object to provide a pail with a partition thereacross so as to provide two compartments one for clean water and the other for dirty water so as to eliminate the necessity of changing the water so frequently as is now the common practice in the use of an ordinary pail.
Another very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a pail with an ogee shaped partition thereacross whereby brushes and the like may be carried in the pail and lean against the partition against the concaved surfaces thereof to prevent the brushes from swinging from side to side in the pail unnecessarily as the same is being carried about.
A still further very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a pail of this nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, inexpensive to manufacture, strong and durable, and thoroughl efiicient and reliable for the purpose intended:
With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in I so the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 is a top plan view of the pail embodying the features of my invention, and
Figure 2 is a vertical dlametric section therethrough.
Referring to the drawing in detail it will be seen that the numeral 5 denotes a pail which ma be of ordinary conventional construction aving the usual bail or handle 6 mounted thereon in the usual well known manner. Diametrically dis osed across the disk pail is a partition 7 w ich is curved transversely across the pail in an ogee manner thereby dividing the pail into two compartments one for clean water and the other for dirty water. By the use of this partition it will be seen that brushes and other imple- 0 ments may be carried in the pail and lean up 1980. Serial No. 458,287.
- against the partition at the concave surfaces thereof to prevent the brushes from havin a tendency to wobble too much from side to side and interfere with the carrying of the pail.
The partition also affords two compartments one side of each compartment being of a larger area so that brushes, Squeegeesand other implements commonly used in window cleaning may be more easily and readily inserted into the pail even though the same has been divided in two different compartments.
Briefly stated, the invention might be said to be in the form of a pail, especially adapted for use by window cleaners and having a transverse partition extending entirely across the pail and being of ogee formation, defining a air of compartments, each compartment, y reason of the ogee formation of the partitions, being divided into a major and minor section, the major sections of the several compartments having outwardly curved walls allowing various window cleaning implements to be held in a nearly upright position in the pail.
It is thought that the construction, utility and advantages of this invention will now be quite apparent to those skilled in this art without a more detailed descri tion thereof.
It is apparent that changes in the details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificin any of its advantages.
aving thus described my invention what I claim as new is:
In a structure of the class described, a pail body open at the upper end thereof, and a partition extending entirely across the central portion of the pail to divide the same into a pair of separate compartments, said partition being of ogee formation caus ng each compartment to have a major section provided with outwardly curving walls and a minor section, the ma'or section of said com artment is adapted or the reception of win ow cleaning implements.
In testimony whereof I aflix my si ature.
CARL F. S IEL.
