This invention relates to forms or moulds for pouring concrete arches of a given radius between steel columns or girders of variable dimensions. f
The object of the invention further includes the provision of adjustable holding members for supporting the forms or' form holders at definite positions on the flanges of the columns or girders. v
A further object includes the provision of metal form-members having clamp adjustment means for supporting a .system of moulds Vin specified positions between columns or girders of varying depth of body 15 and varying width of flange.
@ther objects will appear hereinafter and attain these-objects by the construction il- .lustrated in the accompanying` drawings, in whichi i Figure l is atop view'through a section of wall and showing'a: preferred type Vof form-system supported on the flanges ofadjacent columns; i

The same numerals of reference referto like parts throughout the several views.
The prime obj ect of my invention is to provide means for adj ustably supporting a given set of forms or moulds to a fraction of an inch between columns of varying web depth and varying ange width, so .that a concrete 50 arched wall of a-given radius may be poured,
thus permitting a given set of moulds to be repeatedly used regardless of varying dimen- .sions of flange 'width or web depth of supportingl columns. In other words, theproblem which is tobe solvedv byI my invention is to pour concrete arches (for subway walls andthe like) of a givenV radius between columns" ofthe saine or of varying dimensions with the same setof moulds. L
"To this end I employ a center forml or` mould 20 which isconstructed 'of wood or other suitable material and Vis supported in the desired position between adjacent steel columns or girders 2l by my improved form member 23 and clamping device 24 forsupporting'thel assemblyfiom flanges 22 of said columns'or girders. i l,My'imp'roved form-member is preferably made of sheet metal and cor'np'rises' pan shaped structure with overhanging parts 25 and26.A The pan is further provided with afslot 27 anda double ribbed toothed member 28 welded on saidpanat the slot opening, to thus provide vmeans with which engage teeth 29 on theface of the clamp block 29 which is'held by a set screw or bolt 30 in position on the flange clamp `or clamping device 24. The lower jaw 3l of said flange clamp is provided with a set screw 32 for securely fastening the flangeclamp on the flange of the supporting column. It will be noted that'the double ribs 28 eX- tend the length of the .pan and reinforce the same at its upper part, while at the lower part said members merge into a head 33 having a hook 34: turned to the left on which lis supported a spreader bar 35, for use as a left hand support. For the right hand support thehook 34 is von the opposite side of head 33 as is indicated in dotted lines on Fig. 5. `vThis type of hool; constructionand lthe Vform of clamp (of Figs.v 6 'and closely engage flange 22 and no concrete is, therefore, applied to the outer flange faces.A
u `Where, however, it is desired to lire-proof the entire column, a special clamp isused'. The construction illustrated in Figs. l, 2 and 31 `provides means forffire-proofing the 'entire?l column. In the example' shown vin Figs.
v land 3 p'r'ovisionfis-made for fire-proofing 100 adjustably supporting the center' mouldi'20f by suitable blocks 44. Concrete spreading soilit plates on the outer face ofthe formmember on pan 23 andthe soitboard 46 ao-rd means associated with said adjustable pan for ire-proolinff said column. It will be noted that block 477 also supports the soit board 46 on the spreader bars. i 3
c From the construction herein ldisclosed it is clear that'variations in width of ianges (22) is compensated by the over-lapping part 26 of pan 23, and any variation in depthl of column web is taken care of by the vertical adjustment of the toothed ribs on pan 23 and the toothed adjusting block on the ange clamp. VThe simplicity of said adjusting feay tureprovides means for quickly lowering or raising the assembly by merely loosening set screws 30, then adjusting the pan and again fastening said'set screws. Y
It will be noted thatthe form construction consists of a pair of metal form-members or pans spaced by awooden iiller or center form from the flanges of the main columns. The wooden lilleri's further heldo-n the spreader bars by wedges and the entire, assembly is ad justable in directions at right angles to each other by the clamps on the metal form-mem# bers.v rlhe clamping members being adjustable vertically, as explained above, and the jaws of the clamp being adjustable horizontally on the girder orcolumn iiange to meet conditions of varyingdimensions. AThe construction moreover admits of` adjustment 7 to the fraction of an iii-ch which is a very valf uable feature in concrete construction. This feature also provides means for pouring concrete walls or ceiling arches of constant raf dius, having the required thickness, thereby making itpossible to accommodate basic supporting structures of various dimensions without waste Vor loss of concrete.V Y
Having now described my invention, what I claim as new and useful and desireto secure by Letters Patent is H 1. A `form construction for pouring .con-
crete walls of given thickness-betweensupporting members of varying dimensions, comprising a lcenter-form of constant radius, a pan-shaped formmember at either extremity of said center-form, said formmember havingaslot therethrough, toothed rib members boardering said slot and ending in a head outside of said *form-member, a
clamp member -in said slot, a clamp jblock toothedfreinforcing members for supporting said pan at varying depths from a supportingstucfture-ofvarying dimensions said reinforcing member terminating in a head outside ot the pan'andhaving a hook.
3. In a form structure forV pouringconcretefwalls ofrequired dimensions, a formmember comprising a pan shaped structure having a slot therein, toothed 'members in said pan adjacent said slot,- a clamp having parallel jaws extending from said pan, said clamp operating through said slot, anda clamp f block 'having teeth `to engage lthe toothed members adjacent said slot.
walls of required dimensions,`a form-member comprising a pan shaped structure having a slot therein, toothed members in said'pan adjacent said slot', said rib members having al head with a hook to support a spreader bar, i
a clamp havingy jawsextending from said pan, said clamp operatingjin said slot, a clamp block having teethto engage the toothed members' adjacent said slot, and
means to protect saidvclamp from concrete when thewall -ispoured e v 5. In a form structure for pouring concrete walls of required dimensions, a forni;
member comprising a pan .shaped structure p having aslot therein and toothed ribs adjacent said slot, saidribs having a head with# out said pan and means for holding spreader bars in spaced relation on said pan.'
6. In aform construction for pouring concrete walls lof 'given thickness between supporting members of varying dimensionsfthe combination ofi a center-form of' constant radius and an overlapping pan-shaped formmember at either extremity 'of said centerform, said form-member having aslotltherethrough and reinforcing members' adjacent said slot, said reinforcing members united in a common head which extends from the forminember, and, spreading bars supported from said head.
