In the drawing the invention is shown applied to a container 1 of the collapsible tube type, the cylindrical body of which merges into a conicahportion 7 which ends in a` cylindrical or neck portion 14, the outer end of which is closed by a Wall 15 in which there is an opening or discharge orifice 10. The conical vportion 7 is formed with a fiange 6 60 spaced from the neck portion 14 and projecting from the base of the neck portion 14 is a lug or stop 11 (see Figure 8).
The cap 5 comprises a hollow cylindrical body closed at one end by a wall 13 and 65 having an outwardly projecting flange 12 at its other end. The wall 13 is provided with a discharge opening 9 and the inner face of the' wall 13 opposite the discharge openingf 9 is recessed to receive a liner or gasket 8 7" which projects slightly beyond the inner face of the wall 13. The inner edge of the cap at the fiange 12 is recessed as at 16, inFigure 9, to provide shoulders 16a and 166 which cooperate with the stop 11 and limit the turn- 75 ing movement of the cap 5 on the neck 14. The recess 16 is so positioned on the ca-p 5 with respect to the opening 9 that, with the cap turned to its limit in one direction, the liner 8 will be presented to the opening 10 8 while, when the cap 5 is turned to its limit in the opposite direction, the opening 9 will align with-the opening 10 in the wall 15 of the container. The cap 5 has a discharge opening 9' in its outer wall 13', the opening 9' being eccentrically dis osed in the wall 13'. Extending inwardly rom the wall A-13' at the center thereof is a projection 23 which cooperates with the opening 10 in the outer wall 15 of the neck 14:. The central portion of the outer wall 13 of thecap 5 is recessed so as to form a substantially cylindrical shoulder 25 which engages with the outer` face of the flange 24 of the neck 14. The cap 5' is interiorly threaded as at 18 to engage with threads formed on the neck 14'.
The inner edges of thecap 5' and flange 6' are provided with a stop 22 which coopcrates/with a stop 21 (see Figure 11) formed on the container 1 between the neck 14 and the ange 6. The slope to the upper surface of the stop 21 and the corresponding slope on the stop 22 correspond with the slope of the-threads on the cap. In this construction the flange 6' will limit the outward movement of the cap 5' but suiicient lost motion is provided between the flange 12 and the flange 6' to permit of the withdrawal of the projection 23 from the opening 10' so that thecap will be spaced outwardly a slight distance from the outer wall 15 of the neck 14' and the contents -of the container may be discharged through the opening 10 and the opening 9'. y
In closing the container the rotation of the cap 5' causes the cap to be drawn down on the neck 14 forcing the projection 23 into the opening 10' until the engagementA of the stops 21 and 22 prevent further rotation of the ca 5' on the neck 14' of the container.
In t e modified construction shown in Figure 11, the neck of the container and the cap 5" are threaded as in Figure 3 and stops 21 and 22 are provided, as in that construction. The ca p and a liner or seal 8 as in the construction shown in Figure 1, which opening and seal cooperate with an opening 10 similar to the opening 10 of Figure .1 inthe outer wall 15 of the neck of the container. when the liner 8 registers with the openingI 10 the liner 8 contacts with the outer wall 'ing flange at its free ed 5" is provided with an opening 9 of the neck of the container so as to provide a erfect seal for the container.

Invcombination with a container havin a cylindrical neck with a wall 4 perforate eccentrically at the 'outer end thereof and a circular flange surrounding the inner end of said neck and spaced therefrom, a cap having a. flat outer wall with a discharge orice therein eccentrically disposed for coopera'- tion with the opening in the container wall and a circular side wall projecting from said top wall and surrounding said neck, said circular side Wall having an outwardly project- J ve engaging beneath the circular iiange on the container.
2. In combination with a container having a cylindrical neck with a wall perforated eccentrically at the outer end thereof and a circular flange surrounding the innery end of said neck and spaced therefrom, a cap having' a iat top Wall with an eccentrically disposed discharge orifice therein and an eccentrically disposed inwardly projecting sealing mem-iv ber, said orifice and sealing member altern'ately cooperating with the opening in the container wall,and a circular side Wall pro- ]ectmg lfrom said to wall and surrounding sald neck, said circu ar side wall having an outwardly projecting ila/nge at the free edge thereof, and the circular flange on the contailler cooperating With the outwardly projecting flange on the cap to retain the cap on the container while permitting rotation of Athe cap.
3. In a container having a body with a neck formed with a discharge orifice therein, a flange for interlockin with a rotatable container closure surroun ing the inner end of said neck and spaced therefrom and a projection forming a stop for a container closure intermediate said flange and neck.
