The base a is internally recessed as at d, more or less in the general form of the mold of a denture, and is provided on its exterior with three equally spaced bosses h provided with bolt recesses 70 in which clamping bolts 2', hereinafter further described, are adapted to be inserted.
External, vertical groovesm are provided at opposite points on the base a, arranged so that their adjacent sides are normal with and touch the transverse, median, vertical plane of the flask, as illustrated by the line m in Fig 2.
The annular wall portion bis similar in shape and contour to the base a, and is split at r and provided with lugs 25 adjacent the abutting ends, 'throughwhich a bolt 8 is inserted, for holding them in abutment. By this construction, the contents of the flask may be conveniently removed by loosening the bolt 8 which will permit the annular wall portion to expand.
The said'wallportion b is adapted to be seated on the base a in alignment therewith. Downwardly projecting lugs 5 are provided adapted to register with the recesses m. The lugs 5 and'recesses m are formed with abutting plane faces, and the corners of the lugs are rounded or tapered .as at Sat, 5b,the taper of the corner 5?) being slightly longer. The

@Bythis construction, when one of the molds of the denture to be cured is placed in the istration with the bolt holes base, and the other in the wall portion with the denture arranged between them, the two folds may be brought into juxtaposition by a gentle rocking motion from either side or transversely, so that neither the molds will be damaged or the denture disarranged.

The cover 0 is similar in outline to the wall portion 6 and is provided with studs 10 on its under surface adapted'to engage with the interior edge of the wall portion. Lateral enlargements 11 are formed on the rim of the cover in'which bolt holes 12'areprovided in alignment with the bolt recesses k of the bosses h on the base. Equally spaced, upwardly projecting protuberances 14 are provided on the upper surface of the cover arranged so as to lie in radial planes midway between the said bolt holes 12.. When my flask has been assembled with the molds and denture in place, in order that the flask parts may be pressed together with an evenly distributed pressure, so that the compression on the molds will be uniform throughout, the plate 15 is arranged on the protuberances 14 of the cover 0 and the before mentioned bolts i are inserted through the bolt recesses is so as to project upwardly between the ribs 9 on the wall portion with their ends projecting through the holes 12 in the cover and the holes 13 in the plate. Nuts 2" are threaded on the ends of the said bolts, whereby the plate 15 is drawn down onthe cover 0 to press the flask parts together.
By this construction, since the plate 15 is supported at three equally spaced parts on the protuberances 14 and the strain of the bolts 2' are also'at three equally spaced points,
located, respectively, midway betweenthe said protuberances, it will be immaterial whether all the nuts 71 have been threaded down onthe bolts e to the same degree, since be compensated by the said three point support and thus an equal and evenly distributed pressure will be exerted over the perimeter the under side of thebase a for'convenience in placing the flask and removing it from the retort by means of a suitable hooked instrument, not shown.
Further by locating the protuberance 14 on the marginal portion of the cover, the clamping force of the bolts is brought directly onto the abutting marginal edges and deformation prevented, which might otherwise be transmitted to the material within the flask and create an unequal pressure upon the molds contained therein.
