To all whom it may concern: 7 7
Be it known that I, CHARLES WHIT'IAKER, of thecity of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hat- Rack and Seat Combined; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The object of-my invention is to provide a suitable and convenient rack for bats, in combination with a seat such as are commonly used in theaters, opera-houses, 85c.
Figure 1 represents a perspective view of my invention, the seat A being thrown back, preparatory to inserting the hat between the arms B of the rack.

D are screws by which the rack G is attached to the bottom of the seat. F is a flange, which affords protection to the hat from behind the seat.
When the hat is inserted between the arms B the seat is thrown forward, and the hat is suspended by its rim upon the arms'B.
I do not claim as my invention the peculiar form of the arms B, any other form to please the taste may be substituted for it.
