GEORGE H; Romans,V JR., onvoK PARKLLINOIS'? i '-2 i coLLArsIBLE surronrlronriannx sv'rivesgVv This invention relates to improvements in collapsible supports, particularly for baby swings or that type of spring supported seat for infants which results in a gentle up and down motion and also a swinging movement when the child is placed therein.
One of the particular objects of this invention is the provision of a collapsible support for baby swings or the likewhich will positively and reliably support an ordinary baby swing with an infant therein without any' danger of collapse, and which, furthermore, may be folded up into a small compass and put away when not in use.
Another and further important object of this invention is the provision of a support for baby swings or theolike which is adapted to be used in an ordinary household or apartment, and which will eliminate the necessity of suspending the ordinary baby swing in a doorway or passageway as has heretofore been done, and which results in considerable inconvenience.
Still another and further important object of this invention is the provision of a novel and simple, yet elicient method ofv connecting the upper ends of a plurality of supporting-legs which allows of a universalfmovement and further admits of the co-operation therewith of suitable supporting means for any object adapted to be suspended from said support.
Other and further important objects of the v invention will be apparent from the discloi .sures in the accompanying drawing and following specification. u v
The invention, in a preferred form, yis illustrated in the drawing and hereinafter more fully described. v
In the drawing: Figure l is a vertical perspective view of the improved baby swing and supportof this invention.
Figure 2 is a detail view illustrating thel novel means of connecting the upper ends of the supports for universal movement about each other and also illustrates the adaptation of a suitable hanger for the baby swing to the support.
Figure 3 is a detail Yview somewhat similar to Figure l2,!but illustrating'fmorefully the swingsupporting means. l f-:lFigurew 4 is `a detail view illustrating the mehdaiof connecting #benaming rinato i Figure .y n V f As shownfin the drawing: x

As indicated in Figure 2, suitable means v must be'provided for supporting the hanger or chain 40 of the swing itself and in one instance this is accomplished by vmeans of a suitable bolt or other tting "44d passing i through theupper end of one of the supporting legs 14, and to Which is adapted tobe fitted the upper end 'lof the chain 40.'
