To all whom t may concer/1L:
Beit knownthat I, JOHN SUTER, of the city, county, and State Vof New York, rhave invented a new and useful Indexer, or literary companion, embracing in its applicability a book-mark, reference-guide, movable indexer, paper cutter and folder, of which the following is a specication: Y
The object ot' my invention is to furnish a simple device for marking or denoting the place or pagein a book which is required to be used or extracted from, and by the same contrivance, when attached to the book, to clasp against the outside cover` or binding' thereof blank paper, manuscript notes, and the like, used for memoranda or other purpose. The device is also adapted for use as a papercutter when det-ached from the book.
