IMPROVEMENT IN DEVICES FOR DRAWING PULLEVS FRQM SHAFTING.
Specification forming part ot' Letters Patent No. l 86,229, dated January 16,1877; application led Y September 16, 1876.
To all 'whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY F. CASTEELINE, of Grand Detour, county of Ogle, and State of Illinois, have invented a new and Improved Device for Drawing Pulleys, 85e., from Shafting, of' which the following is a specilieatiou In the accompanying drawing, Figure l represents a side view, and Fig. 2 an end view, of
my improved device for drawing pulleys, 85e.,

The invention relates to a simple and e'ective device for removing pulleys, pinions, and wheels from shafting in a quick `manner without injury to the pulley orshaft; and the in vention consists of swinging lever hooks hinged to an adjustable head that works on a jack-screw applied to the end of shaft.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts. In the drawing, A represents the swinging hook-levers, that are forked at the outer ends and4 curved inwardly at the ends, to spring over the pulley or pinion and take firmly hold of the same. The'hook-levers A arepivoted to a traveling screw-head, B, that serves to pulley, admitting the device also to be used as ajack-sorew by putting a plate at the cen ter of the screw-head. v

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combination of the hooked levers A and traveling head or nut B with the screw C and detachable set or center piu l), as and for the purpose set forth.
