The object of my invention is to provide aj novel masons pointing tool which will enable the mason both to carry the mortar and to point the joint between the bricks with great facility. I
I attain these and other-objects of my invention by the device'illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which, v I Figure 1 is a perspective view of my vention; v
Fig. 2 is a transverse section through same, a portion of the handle being shown in side elevation;
Fig- 3 is a longitudinal section on line'- 33 of Fig. 2;

to allow the handle to seat over'the exten-' sion plate 3 to which it is affixed a suit able screw or other like fastening device 6.
I provide suitable screws or' other like fastening elements 8 for fastening the lower end 7 of the handle 4 to the platel, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. I provide a long slot-'9 extending longitudinally of plate 2 and a,
short slot 10 near the end of'plate 2 farthest distant from the handle i extending transversely of that plate.
The long slotin the plate 1 is to point the joint between'bricks, the short transverse or perpendicular slot is to fill the joint at the end of the brick. The lowerplate, table or section 1 of the tool is to carry the mortar so that it willbe ready for use. The tool can be used'with any kind of a trowel advantageously.
The method of pointing is to hold this.
