GAME APPARATUS March 1, 1932 I N V EN TOR. flaudfiz'm Filed Oct. 3, 1930 Patented Mar. 1,

Further objects of the invention are toprovide, in a manner 5 as'hereinafter set forth, a"
, game apparatus which; is simple in itscon 'zostruction and arrangement, strong, durable, compact, amusing whenused, formed of few parts', and comparatively inexpensive t'ofmank ufacture;
With the foregoing and other objects'fin view the inventionconsist s' of the novelcon struction; combination 1 and' arrangement of parts as hereinafter more specifically, de

piece therefrom and'which will be hereinafit The apparatus includes a set of player pieces, preferably six in number, but this number can be increased or diminished and each of the player pieces is of spherical contour. The, player pieces are indicated at 14,
materially greaterdiaineter than any of the other player pieces. The player pieces 15 to 19 are of the same diameter. The player pieces 15 to 19 are formed of non-magnetic be formed of magnetic material. The player piece 14 is termed an interrupter member and the player pieces15 to 19 are termed scoring members. The player piece 14 is of a diameter to prevent it from passing through the wicket 8. The player pieces 15 to 19 are of a diameter to pass through the wicket 8 and into the goal 9. The player piece 14 is weighted and for such purpose one-halfof the playerpiece 14 may be hollow and the other half solid.
The striker element comprises a stalf which can be differently colored and is provided at one end with a head 21 formed with a spherical extension 22 of any suitable size and which if desired can possess a characteristicto attract the player piece 14.
- When the apparatus is used, it is the ob ject of'the player to project by the striker member the scoring members intothe goal, but before striking a scoring member, it is es sential to strike the interrupter member, or in other words, a scoring member cannot be projected by the striker element until the interrupter member has been projected. The
interrupter member is directed against a rebound member and the latter acts to return the interrupter member into the playlng field to. interfere with the passage of that scoring member which has been struck.
The game may be played with each player having a limited number of strokes or it can be played whereby the winner will be the one that projects the scoring members into the goal 9 with the smaller number of strokes but it is essential thata scoring member can only bestruck by the striker element immediately after the player has struck the interrupter member. The rebound members 12- and 18 also act to return the scoring members tothe playing field when such members do not enter the goal 9. 1 Owing to the manner of using the apparatusit necessitates the player to be dextrous, alert, and skillful to quickly position or drive the scoring members into the goal 9, due to the factthat it is required of the-player to strike the interrupter member before the scoring member is struck to attempt to goal the latter. It is thought the many advantages of a game apparatus, in accordance with this invention can be readily understood, and although the preferred embodiment of the invention is as illustrated and described, yet it is to be understood that changes in the details of construction can be had which fall within the scope of the invention as claimed.
What I claim is: I
1. In a game apparatus of that type including driven balls, the combination of a skeleton element of triangular form standing on a lengthwise edge thereof and adapted to be positioned upon a supporting surface to provide a walled playing field of triangular contour upon which the balls are driven, means within and positioned centrally of and projecting forwardly from one wall of said element and in connection with the latter providing a closed rear end goal, and a pair of upstanding flexible ball rebounding members positioned withinfsaid element and projecting forwardly fromand having their upper ends secured to said wall, each of said membersabutting one side of said means and another wall of said element, inclining down wardly and forwardly from its upper to its lower end .and extending to and having its lower end anchored in said supporting surwithin andlpositioned centrally of andpro jecting forwardly from one wall of said element and in connectionwith the latter ,providing a closed rear'end goal, and a pair of upstanding flexible ball'rebounding members positioned within said element'and projecting forwardly. from and having their upper ends secured'to said wall,' each of said membersabutting one sideof said means and another wall offsaid element, inclining downwardly and forward-lyfrom its upper to its lower end and extending to and having its lower end anchored in saidj supporting sun face, said members being of less height than that of said means and walls. l 1 3. In a gameapparatus of that type including driven balls, the combination, of a skeleton element of triangularform standing on a lengthwise edge. the eof and ada ted to be positioned upon a supporting surface to pro vide a walled playing field of triangular contour upon which the balls are driven, means within and positioned centrally of and projecting forwardly fromo'ne' wall of said elea face, and said goal having closed sides and an 7 entrance opening: at its front of less height than that of the sides thereof.
4. In a: game apparatus, a plural wall forming element of skeleto form for mounting on a supportin "surface to provide a walled playing field, means withinlandp'ositioned centrally of and projecting forwardly from one wall of said element and providing in connection with the latter agoal closed at its sides and rear and having a'reduced entrance openingat its front, a pair of forwardly extending and downwardly inclined flexible rebound members within said element and having their upper endssecured to said wall and their'lower ends anchored to said supporting surface and each abutting one side J of said means and another wall of said ele-, I ment, a set ofspherical scoring members for Q traversing said field to be goaled}, and 'a' spherical interrupter member of greaterdie 'ameter than any one of the scoring-members,
of a diameter greater than the width and height of said entrance opening to prevent its passage through the latter and for travers V I a. ing said field to impact against and rebound from said flexible members and for interrupt V ing the travel ofthe scoringmembers. V
In testimony-whereof, I aflEix my signature hereto. r V
