Be it known that I, JAMES O. CLAY, ofthe 4city of Aiken, in the county of Aiken and State of South Carolina, have invented anew and useful Improvement in Bill and Letter Files, which improvement is fully set forth in the following specitication, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
The object of my invention is to le that class ot' papers usually filed on hooks and nails, such as Orders, bills, and postal cards, forming them into a book, and rmly sewing them together, thus giving Lthem a compact form and a .book easily referred to.
The tile is illustrated more in detail in View, Figure 1. It is constructed ot' No. 12 Wire, made of iron, brass, or steel, bent into a Gothic shape, forming the loop A at the top to hang it up by against the wall or desk. The coil B at the sides is designed to give strength to the frame, having sufficient length between the loop A and the coil B, so that I can, by pressing or stretching the sides at that point, narrow or Widen the needles to suit the different sizes of papers. The projecting arms or filed thus carrying the cord down perpendicn ular With the needles. Then by pulling the ends Oi' the cord E from the eye of the needles, and tying them betweentbe needles, gives the book form thus described.
