The invention will be described in detail hereinafter and will be found illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a view in perspective of the improved tobacco stick handling device, and
Figure 2 is a view in elevation of the upper 5 fragment of the handling device showing a tobacco stick in position thereon.
In the drawings, similar reference char acters are used to designate corresponding parts in both views.
The tobacco stick handling device comprises a pole or rod 1 having two metal rods designated 2 secured as shown at 3 to opposite sides of the pole or rod 1, the intermediate portions of said rod, forming the arms of the handling device, being inclined outwardly from each other and upwardly in relation to the end of the pole or rod 1 as shown at 4, and the extremities bent on substantially parallel lines as shown at 5. The extremities 5 are split at their outer ends inwardly of the rod 2, and the split portions are curved outwardly from each other as shown at 6, forming forks 7 to receive a tobacco stick 8 for location on a rack in the drying or curing barn.
What is claimed is A tobacco stick handling device, comprising a pole, arms secured at one end of the pole and on opposite sides thereof, each of said arms deflected outwardly away fromone another on opposite sides of the axis of the pole, and having their outer ends deflected to substantial parallelism, and the extremities of said arms provided with oppo-v sitely and outwardly curved fingers providing supports for opposite ends of a tobacco stick, said fingers being curved laterally of the lines of parallelism of said ends.
In testimony whereof I alfix my signature.
