It is to be understood that W lying in a plane parallel to and below the the shape of the container and of the spout plane of the head. The portions 10 remain and discharge opening are not of importance in the present invention, and that various modifications and changes in structural details of the device may be made, within the scope of the claims without departing from the spirit of the invention.
lVhat is claimed is:
1. In a device of the class described the combination with a container, of a head for the container having a filling opening and a fluid discharge opening therein, a baffle plate on the head substantially parallel thereto and disposed in spaced relations with the plane of the head and adjacent to the fluid discharge opening to preclude splashing out of the fluid contents of the container when the container is transported, a closure member for the filling opening, and a spout on the head encircling the fluid discharge opening.
2. In a device of the class described the combination with a container, of a head for the container, an integral baifle plate struck from the head to provide a fluid opening above the baffle plate, a series of integral radially disposed. baflle supports connecting the head and baffle plate, and a spout member encircling the opening and having a discharge port of substantially the same discharge capacity as the fluid opening.
3. In a device of the class described the combination with a container, of a head for the container, an integral baflie plate struck from the head to provide a fluid opening directly above the baffle plate, and a series of integral radially disposed bafile supports connecting the head and baffle plate.
4. In a device of the class described the combination with a container, of a head for the container, and an integral bafile plate struck from the head to provide a fluid opening, said bafile plate being of substantially the same size and area as the opening and disposed in axial alignment with said opening. Y
5. A. head for a fluid container comprising an integral baffle plate struck from the material of the head to provide a fluid discharge opening, baflle supports integral with the baflle plate and head for supporting the baffle plate in a position adjacent-the fluid discharge opening, and an ann'ularly depressed seat formed on the head and encircling the fluid discharge opening for reception of a spout member.
6. A head for a fluid container comprising :"7 an integral baffle plate struck from the material of the head to provide a fluid discharge opening, baflle supports integral with the baffle plate and head for supporting the bafile plate in a position adjacentthe fluid dis- 3 charge opening, and a seat for a spout mem ber encircling the said opening.
