The free ends of each set of strips are connected together by a ,rectangular clamping` member 3 which vfits around the strips yof `both sets, with the rivets L passing through the free ends of the strips of the set to which the clamping member is connected and through slots 5 in the member. A clamping `screw 6 is car- 579 -riedf by one end' of each clampingfmember for clamping the strips in adjusted position. Thus by this arrangement, the platform can be adjusted as' to its length.

Then the nut is loosened, the spring will move the hook out of engagement with the flange. The outer sloping wall of each bracket l2 has a pair of straps 2O thereon which are adapted to receive the upper end of the ladder-like leg B. A clamping screw 21 passes through one end of each strap 2O so as to clamp the legs in the straps. Each leg consists of a pair of side pieces 22 and the rounds 23. An end member 24 is hingedly connected to the lower end of each side piece, as shown at 25, and a pair of links 26 connect the inner faces of these end pieces 24 with the head 27 of a flat bar 28 which is supported in the guides 29 attached to some of the rounds, so that by moving the bar 28 longitudinally, the end pieces 24 can be adjusted to a position where they are in alignment with the side pieces 22, or to a position where they extend outwardly from the side pieces, as shown in dotted lines in Figure l1, or to a convergent position, as shown in Figure 2. The ends of these pieces 24 are provided with the rubber tips 30. A spring pressed plunger 31, carried by one of the rounds, is adapted to engage any one of a plurality of holes 32 in the bar 28 to hold the parts in adjusted position.
From the foregoing it will be seen that by swinging the legs downwardly on their hinges 13 and rotating the parts on the bolts 8, the legs can be placed in a position at the ends of the platform and the legs will be held in this position by placing the hooks over the lianges of the casings 1 and tightening the set screws on the bolts, as shown in Figure 3. In this position of the parts, the roller carrying arms 9 are arranged under the platform. The sloping outer faces of the brackets 12 will cause the legs to assumethe position they occupy in Figure 3. In this position of the parts, the end pieces 24 at the ends of the legs should be placed in either the position they occupy in Figure 11 in full lines or in the position they occupy in dotted lines in said figure. Figures 1 and 2 shown another way of using the device and as shown in these figures, the legs are moved to one side of the platform and clamped in this position and as the legs are so moved, the roller carrying arms will be swung to project from the opposite side of the plat-form and thus can engage a wall or other upright support, as shown in Figure V1. When used in this manner, the end pieces 24can be adjusted to the position they occupy in Figure 2. Then not in use, the legs are folded, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, so that the device will occupy but little space when not in use. As before stated, the length of the platform can be adjusted.
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of the invention will be readily apparent.
It is to be understood that changes may be made in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.
What I claim is 1. A staging of the class described comprising a platform, a bracket pivoted to the under part of each end of the platform, a
second bracket hinged to the first bracket, r
a leg connectedv with each second bracket whereby the leg can be folded and partly rotated about the end of the platform and means for holding the second bracket in adjusted position with the leg at the end of the platform or at either side thereof.

A staging ofthe class described comprising a platform, a bracket pivoted to the under part of each end of the platform, a second bracket hinged to the first bracket, a leg connected with each second bracket whereby the leg can be folded and partly rotated about the end of the platform, means for holding the second bracket in adjusted position with the leg at the end of the platform or at either side thereof and a roller carrying arm connected with each first bracket and extending from one side of the platform when the leg is located at the opposite side thereof.
3. A staging of the class described comprising a platform, a bracket pivoted to the under part of each end of the platform, a second bracket hinged to the first bracket, a leg connected with each second bracket whereby the leg can be folded and partly rotated about the end of the platform, means for holding the seco-nd bracket in adjusted position with the leg at the end of the platform or at either side thereof, a roller carrying arm connected with each first bracket and extending from one side of the platform when the legl is located at the opposite side thereof, each leg being of ladder-like construction, an end piece hingedly connected with the lower end of each side piece of each leg, a. bar adjustably connected with each leg `at the center thereof and links connecting the lower end of the bar with the end pieces for adjusting the end pieces.
4. A staging of the class described comprising a telescopic platform, means for holding the sections thereof in adjusted position` legs pivoted to the ends of the platform so that they can be moved about a vertical axis, clamps carried by portions of the legs and engaging portions of the platform to hold the legs in adjusted position, an Aarm connected with the upper part of each leg and extending from one side of the platform when the leg is located at the opposite side.
5. A portable staging comprising a platform consisting of two end casings of circular form, a plurality of spaced strips connected with each casing, the strips of one set passing between the strips of the other set, means for connecting the free ends of each set of strips together, clamps carried by such means to hold the parts in adjusted position, legs hingedly and rotatably connected With the casngs and means for holding the legs in adjusted position.
