This invention relates to dispensers.
.The dispenser .to `which the inventionapplies in particular has a-receptacle to contain .the material to be dispensed anda valve to .control the flow of the material.
An. object of the invention is to provide a dispenser from which the receptacle cannot be removed without .breaking'the same.
Another object is to providean improved KL joint between the receptacle and the dispensingvalve.
Another object is to provide a dispenser .which is. efficient, sturdy and economicalv to manufacture. I
According. to one phase .of the invention, the receptacle is heldagainst removaly from the dispensing valve by a latch whichis rinaccessible until the receptacle is broken.
According .to another phase of the inven- .fg-ion, the dispensing` valve carries a socket anda threaded nipple, the base of the receptacle is-arranged in the socket and connected bya ferrule to the nipple, and a gasket is arranged between the nipple and the valve to prevent .leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed.

The inner end of the plungerl is provided with a valve 7 to engage a seat 8 arranged in the forward end of the cylinder to preclude theeseape of liquid.
'The inlet porty 9 in the cylinder head is controlled .by a valve 10 on a rod l1 carried by` the plunger.

The coupling here shown is locked by a pawl arranged in the socket wall and engaging ratchet notches 26 in the ferrule of the receptacle.

A pawl 29 is arranged on the bottom of the socket to engage the notches in the base of the ferrule.
A central opening 30 in the base of the ferrule communicates with the passage 18 in the cylinder casing.
A gasket 3l is arranged around the opening 30 between the base of the ferrule and the bottom of the socket to provide a tight joint therebetween.

The nut may be prevented from being loosened by a set screw 33 arranged in the socket wall and bearing against the ferrule to prevent its turning.

The coupling here shown is provided with a bayonet joint having a cam groove or thread 35 arranged in the socket walland lugs 36 on the ferrule to t in the thread.
lA gasket 38 in the bottom of the socket is compressed by the ferrule.
Of course, the individual liquid dispensing faucet may assume various forms within the spirit of the invention as hereinafter de` fined in the claims.
The invention is hereby claimed as follows: 1. A dispensing faucet having in combination therewith a glass receptacleV for the liquid to be dispensed thereby, a socket arranged on said faucet and having ratchet notches in the walls thereof, a threaded nipple arranged in said socket and having a passage communicating with the chamber of said faucet, aferrule base for saidreceptacle having a threaded opening to screw onto said Vthreaded nipple and draw and hold said base in said socket, a gasket arranged in said socket to be compressed by said base to provide and Vmaintain a tight connection bevtween said receptacle and said faucet, and a pawlarranged on said base to engage said ratchet notches to prevent the base from lbeing loosened in said socket.
2. A liquid dispenser comprising, iii combination, a frangible receptacle for liquid, a faucet having an inlet and a discharge outlet, an externally threaded nipple arranged oii said faucet in communication with said inlet and opening into said receptacle, a socket arranged on said faucet around said nipple and having notches in the side wall thereof, a ferrule carried by said receptacle and threaded on said nipple, a gasket arranged in said socket to be compressed by said ferrule and form a tight joint between said ferrule and said socket, and a pawl carried by said ferrule and en raging said notches to prevent said ferrule from being loosened in said socket.

A liquid dispenser comprising, in combination, a frangible receptacle for liquid, a faucet having an inlet and a. discharge outlet, an externallythreaded nipple arranged on said faucet in communication with said inlet and opening into said receptacle, a socket arranged on said faucet around said nipple and having` notches in the side wall thereof,a ferrule carried by said receptacle and threaded on said nipple, a gasket arranged in said socket to be compressed by said ferrule and form a tight joint between said ferrule and said socket, and a pawl struck out from the upper edge of .said ferrule and engaging said notches to prevent said ferrule from being loosened in said socket.
4t. A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for securing the same to a. support, a socket carried by said valve, a
frangible receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, means to secure the base of said receptacle in said socket, a gasket arranged in said socket to prevent leakage ofthe material to be dispensed, and ma the saine in said socket, a gasket arranged in said socket to prevent leakage of the material to be dispensed, and ratchet means to prevent removal of said receptacle from said socket arranged in said socket and inaccessible from the outside of said dispenser.
6. A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for secu-ring the same to a support, a socket carried by said valve, a threaded nipple arranged within said socket and communicating with the interior of said valve, a receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, a ferrule fast ened to said base and having in-eans to thread the same upon said nipple and secure said receptacle to said valve, and a gasket arranged aan between said ferrule and said valve to prevent leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed.

A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for securing the same to a support, a socket carried by said valve, a threaded nipple arranged within said socket concentric thereto and communicating with the interior of said valve, a receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, a ferrule fastened to said base, a nut arranged within said base and carried by said ferrule to engage said nipple and secure said receptacle to said valve, and a gasket arranged between said ferrule and said valve to prevent leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed.

A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for securing the same to a support, a socket carried by said valve, a threaded nipple arranged within said socket and communicating with the interior of said valve, a receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, a fcrrule fastened to said base and having means to thread the same upon said nipple and secure said receptacle to said valve, a gasket arranged between said ferrule and .said valve to prevent leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed, and means to prevent said receptacle from being rotated to remove the same from said valve.

A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for securing the same to a support, a socket carried by said valve, a threaded nipple arranged within said socket and communicating with the interior of said valve, a receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, a ferrule fastened to said base and having means to thread the same uponV said nipple and secure said receptacle to said valve, a gasket arranged between said ferrule and said valve to prevent leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed, and means arranged entirely within said socket to prevent said receptacle from being rotated to remove the same from said valve.

A dispenser, comprising a dispensing valve having means for securing the same to a support, a socket carried by said valve, a threaded nipple arranged within said socket and communicating with the interior of said valve, a frangible receptacle having the base thereof arranged within said socket, a ferrule fastened to said base and having means to thread the same upon said nipple and secure said receptacle to said valve, a gasket arranged between said ferrule and said valve to prevent leakage therebetween of the material to be dispensed, and means to prevent said receptacle from being removed from said socket without breaking the same.
