In combination in apparatus for applying a felt sheet to a runner block having a spindle, a cross head having a supporting surface facing downwardly so as to engage the upper surface of a runner block and havin a central recess opening laterally for receiving the spindle of the runner block, means for engaging the upper end of the spindle and supporting the block so that its spindle lies in said recess and the face of the block is held against said supporting surface, a support below the cross head for the felt sheet and for a clamping ring centered with respect to the cross head, and power means for causing a movement of approach of the support with respect to the cross head.
7 In combination in apparatus for applying a felt sheet to a runner block having a spindle, a cross head having a supporting surface facing downwardly so as to engage the upper surface of a runner block and having a central recess opening laterally for receiving the spindle of the runner block, means for engaging the upper end of the spindle and supporting the block so that its spindle lies in said recess and the face of the f; block is held against said supporting surface,
means for pressing the spindle into said recess, a support below the cross head for the felt sheet and for a clamping ring centered with respect to the cross head, and power means for causing a movement of approach of the support with respect to the cross head.
