IMPROVEMENT IN CIDER-MILLS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 181,839, dated September 5,1876; application filed May 27, 1876.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J OHN THOMAS GRIFFIN,
v of Grant, in the county of Smith and State nection with drawing, and then pointed out in the claim.
Figure 1 is a section of the cider-mill, and Fig. 2 is a plan view.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A is the revolvin gdrum,which is geared with the hand-crank by the pinion B and wheel 0, and is armed with teeth, for which I prefer to use nailsfor a cheap machine. E is the hopper, being a straight board, which is arranged on a steep incline, with its lower toothed portion under the cylinder, and being supported by a spring, F, which keeps it sufficiently close to the cylinder, and allows it to spring back. G is a regulator to the spring, worked by a screw, H, and hand-crank for setting it, as required.
