The figure is a perspective view of the upper part of a bridle-headstall to which my improvement has been applied.
The object of this invention is to furnish an improved attachment for bridle headstalls, to enable the horses head to be'raised or lowered, as desired, and to enable a vicious or unruly horse to be more readily controlled.

To the head-strap A are secured the straps O, for the check-rein to pass through, and which may be taken up or let out, according as the horses head is to be raised or lowered. To the center of the head-strap A is attached a buckle, D,- to receive the blinder stays, E are the overdraw straps, which are joined together at their middle parts, and their lower ends are secured to the bit-rings. The upper ends of the overdrawstraps E pass through loops in the straps G at the sides of the buckle D, and have loops formed upon, or gag-runners attached to, their ends, to receive the check-rein.
Having thus described myinvention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Pat"
