IMPROVEMENT IN WIRE CRADLES.

Specication forming part of Letters Patent No.1 8 [.481, dated August 22, 1876; application led July 18, 1876.

To all whom t may concern:

Be it known that 1, EDWARD ROLLERT, of

Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of and the invention consists, chiefly, in the peculiar construction and conformation of the framework and its woven-wire covering, in combination with the rockers, as more fully hereinafter set forth.

In the drawing, A A', lrespectively, represent the head and foot rockers, each having an ornamental riser, the one supporting a vertical ring, B, and the other a semicircular saddie, B'. C is a frame, With parallel sides and semicircular ends, laid horizontally in the axis of the frame C, and between the ends of the saddle B', to Which it is permanently secured. C' is a frame, arched at the head end, and rounded at the foot end to fit the space between the ring B and the foot endof the frame c.

The body of the cradle and the removable frame C' are covered with wire cloth D, of line mesh, and in the body of the cradle the bedding is laid. The wire-cloth coveringl is pressed tothe form of a cylinder, with hemispherical ends, as shown, and affords a free,

circulation of air throughout the cradle, from which insects are excluded.

I am aware that a lsquare cradle has been providedwvith Wire-cloth screens at the sides and ends, and a removable Wire-cloth cover; and while I disclaim the invention thereof,

What I do claim as new is- The cradle described, consisting of the rockers A A', ring B, saddle B', the frame C, and the frame C', all coveredwith/ Wire cloth, when the said frame C' extends from the rear end of the cradle to the ring B, and covers entirely the opening in the said cradle, all bcing constructed, arranged, and combined substantially as described and shown.
